      on 4/28/23, after an accident. I was checked in, went to triage, sent back to the waiting area. Someone came out, called my name and said they needed to take me for x-rays. He did not want to give me the throat shield as I requested telling me it don't work. I thought it was suppose to be my choice for he won't come care for me if I was to develop any type of cancer right? I was taken back to the waiting area. About an hour later a nurse came out with discharge papers to the waiting area to discharged me. I was promised pain medication that I was never given. I never seen a physician or was told anything of my x-rays or findings. Have Piedmont got so bad now that this is what they are doing to their patients? According to the physician I see now, my neck and knee are out of align with swelling. I was never told from the hospital. Went to get a copy of this medical bill and its over $5K. For what? I never seen a physician, just a pain pill and a muscle relaxer and discharged from the waiting area. I called the customer relations department to report this and was yelled at by their staff like I was wrong. This is how Piedmont Mountainside operates now?

      5/26/23, was in a tradegic accident and went to this hospital with cuts on my head, elbows and hands was split. The doctor ran all these unnecessary tests and was going to discharge me without giving me stitches in my right hand until my mother had to say so you going to let him leave him with his hand open like this with an open wound? Then he placed over 5 stitches in my right hand. About 30 days later I received a bill over $20K. What did they do because of my mother had not said anything I would have left there with an open wound which have gotten infected and probably br back in the hospital with a serious infection. Why are they charging so much money for poor service? I was in so much pain and didn't know what was going on but Mom did. What if she wasn't there?

I NEV** seen a physician, never got any answers about my x-rays or anything that was going with me after an accident. NO DEAL.

      On April 14, 2022, I had my first experience with this hospital. I underwent a PET Scan to detect the spread of melanoma cancer. While I was satisfied with the care and professionalism of the two employees (a man and woman) who did the scan, this complaint involves billing and subsequent multiple contact with the hospital's off-site billing department ***************).The issue is that I was overbilled. The hospital failed to retrieve correct/current deductible and out of pocket amounts through my insurance company. I paid in full before the procedure, and I paid too much. I called to inquire about this, speaking to a ***** on 4.15.22. She was pleasant and pledged to investigate and get back in touch with me. She has not. So I called two more times, each time speaking to the rudest, most uncaring, unprofessional and inattentive people imaginable. One passed me to registration incorrectly and then I was transferred again before being hung up on. A second lady (a young black woman as pure description) was evil. When I told her about my runaround, she in an imperial fashion she that she didn't address rhetorical concerns. Then she simply hung up on me. When people are undoing a serious sickness, they are vulnerable. This hospital preys on that and is bullying and awful. All I wanted to do is to inquire about an overpayment, and what resulted was shockingly troubling, insensitive and crude. This should not be tolerated. Is the hospital ripping off people when they are sick? I honestly wonder. Is it the goal of the hospital to disrespect people who have turned to them for honest and caring treatment? This behavior must be called out and stopped.
