On November 27, 2023 I cancelled my Crunch membership in ****************, **. I moved quite far away and wasnt using the gym anyways. I signed a cancellation form and paid out the next month in advance. Reviewing my credit card they charged me $19.99 again on 1/24 and are also attempting to charge me $32 dollars currently but I have my card locked so they cant steal my money. I am not going to take another 2 hour drive back to this location to cancel again - I already have. I need this cancelled.

I signed up in December 2023 on the website for gym services from this location (************************************************************************************************). We chose to pay a higher monthly fee to avoid a contract and only pay month to month with a credit card on file.On Feb 16, 2024, my son received a call from this location about an overdue payment. I called them back the same day, and asked for details. The person who answered said an annual fee transaction failed to go through on Feb 10, 2024, and we should have been called the day after the transaction first failed. We never received any calls from them until the call on Feb 16 (when I called back), 6 days after the failed transaction, and that too AFTER a fee was also added. When I pointed this out to the gentleman and asked for details about when they called us after the failed transaction, he said he did not have a record of that. I asked for his name for my records and he refused to give his name, said that he didn't have to, and refused to transfer to his manager or supervisor. I then called the corporate number on the Crunch website (844-9CRUNCH) during business hours but that number plays an automated message saying that it is not a monitored line and was directed to their website for any support. This is a deceptive practice, and while I will pay their charges, I am contesting the additional fee that was charged without them informing us or giving us an opportunity to use another card or payment method. I would like the fee to be refunded, and if this is how they operate, I would like to cancel service immediately, have the annual fee refunded, and not be charged any additional amount from this location and company. If they refuse to do so, I want them to reinstate the provision in their terms and conditions (#3) where they are supposed to inform customers "10 days before each payment of when it will be made and how much it will be".

Hello, I went into Crunch fitness on April 21, 2023 to cancel my membership. I was greeted by a red-haired gentleman and he helped me with the process. I paid my last months fee of *****, signed documents, and left. My account has continued to be charged since. It is now October 2, 2023 and this issue has not been resolved. I've called multiple times to speak to the general manager (I believe his name is ******) and he claimed that the gentlemen that helped me with my cancellation has been demoted and that he would assist me in properly cancelling my membership. *** since have called multiple times, one time in which a manager answered the phone and would not let me speak to the general manager after consistently asking. He was not informed on my case and was not any helping in assisting the problem. My final attempt, I spoke with the general manager on September 20, 2023, and he assured me that he had sent off an email to corporate and that they would have the issue resolved by my next billing date, October 1, 2023. It has not been fix. I have spent ************ trying to get this issue fixed. Overall, they have charged me a yearly fee on top of monthly payments. I am requesting for a FULL refund. Attached is the payment that I made when I originally signed the documents to cancel my membership and the recent payment that has been taken out of my account. If I need to provide all transaction in between these two dates, please request.

Enrolled for a promotional membership stating the cost of 1$. Days later checked my account and noticed a unauthorized 10$ charge was made by crunch fitness on my account (10X the mentioned amount) on the same day. Contacted their customer service by phone and asked about the 10$ charge which they denied and expressed to have no knowledge about the charge on separate calls. Called them again to cancel the membership due to unauthorized and extra charges but was told that membership cancelation was only possible with in person request at their gym.On 09/21/2023 went to the gym in person and faced a very disrespectful manager at the **************** location whom instructed me to wait at an adjacent table and avoided noticing me until I approached him again and he expressed that he had forgot about my presence. Highly distressed individual looked up my issue and expressed a new excuse that the membership may not be canceled yet.Hence the issue remains and they are not capable of resolving the issue. My desired resolution is for the membership to be canceled immediately without delay or any charges and to be refunded the misrepresented charges of (10$) and for this report to be posted as a source for other consumers to be able to avoid such service providers.

      Business response

**************** is not one of our locations.  Sorry, we are unable to help as we are based in OH, ** & TN.

Minor signed a contract for Personal Training. Parent had minor request cancellation. ***** requested it and after additional money charge to parent credit card, minor advised there was a minimum time required. Since then, facility has drafted 3 months of charges outside of contract terms. Have spoken on phone and visited in person for resolution. Manager agreed it was canceled and sent corp a 2nd cancellation request and refund request. Charges continued. Manager said only way to get it to stop may be to call cc company. Called fraud dispute to **** and blocked business. Business charged via AmEx under a different variant of name. Called and had that blocked. Business is now charging my debit card so I have to start a new fraud dispute with another provider. In fairness, no refunds were requested for services received even though contract was signed by minor. Need refund of all money due after cancellation. *****, Personal Training Manager, is aware and has asked corp to cancel and refund to no avail. Copies of both signed cancellation forms are attached.

On November 08, 2021, I contacted the manager of Crunch fitness Johns Creek and explained to him that I wanted to cancel my membership because I no longer resided in the United states. The reply received said to come to the gym and speak with the manager and sign a cancellation form, or mail a formal letter with my request( see attached. Due to the international vaccine travel requirements issued by United States and the country of Colombia, I was unable to return to the states. I was also unable to send a letter using the U.S. mail system due to the travel restrictions. During this time my credit card account continued to be charged the $9.95 membership fee until March 2022. After the month of February, I did not see any charges for the membership fee that I previous requested to be canceled. In July 2022, I received a collection notice stating that I owed $148.00 for a gym membership. I then checked previous emails, including my spam folder, and discovered several emails from Crunch fitness stating that I needed to update my credit card information to continue my membership privileges. It is my opinion and belief that Crunch fitness has resorted to a business practice of extortion of for members who want to cancel their membership. I request that no further collection action be taken on an invalid debt and that Crunch Fitness refund my account for January and February 2022 fees of $9.95.

On 3-13-22 I visited a GA fitness club. I was told if I joined for the day I could cancel my membership within one week. I called within the week and was told a Manager would have to call me back. I never got a return call. Then I called again and because it was outside the week they refused to cancel my membership unless I came over in person. I was then back at college at LTU in *********** ** and could not go into the center to cancel. They refused to cancel my membership. My boyfriend joined for the day at the same time. He called within the week and he was told he would need to come in. When he said he could not come in, they approved his cancellation. I am a college student in MI and I was extremely busy with final exams. It was hard for me to continue to call the gym. Crunch charged me on 3-16-22 a sum of $29.99 which was only 2 days later, $29.99 on 4-16-22 and then on 5-19-22 Crunch charged me a total of $49.99. This amount was suddenly $10 more and not even a month after the other charges. Again, I am a college student without a job and I cannot afford to pay for something I was told I would not have to pay for. I would like Crunch to refund me the total of All charges which total $109.97.

On March 9th 2021. I was a member of Just 4U fitness in **********. **. They decided to close. I heard about this from friends that go to the gym. I had undergone surgery and was not able to workout for 3 months. So, i figured gym closed, no charges should appearin my account. In the meantime i signed up to crunch fitness roswell location and that'swhen later on I noticed i was being charged twice by crunch. I then called and called and gave them all the information they requested. They noticedthe errorand stated they were waiting on a manager to approve it. That never happened, they kept giving me the run around. So, I then called the bank, but they stated they can't help. Because it had been too long. So, all I'm asking for is either they apply a credit to the current account or give me a refund.

I signed up as a vendor to sell my merchandise in the Crunch Fitness gyms back in September 2021. I signed up on 9-14-21. They told me that I could cancel at anytime, after I completed a mandatory 90 days in the program. When I signed up for the program, I wasn't given a copy of the membership form. I signed up at the ******** location with *****. She did not provide me a copy of the contract that I signed. When I asked her for one on 9-14-21, she said it would be emailed to me. I did not receive the email. The fee was $124.95 monthly, plus $249.95 for a yearly maintenance fee. On 9-20-21, I paid $124.95. On 10-19-21, I paid $124.95. On 11-18-21, I paid $249.95. And on 11-19-21, I paid $124.95. It was electronically taken out of my bank account. I called ***** several times with questions regarding the program and transactions. On November 18, 2021, I told her that I wanted to cancel my membership. ***** told me that I would have to email ***** at the ***** Creek location to cancel my membership. Since I was told that I had to wait 90 days to cancel, I emailed ***** on 12-10-21 to cancel my membership from the program as that date and not to charge me again. On 12-13-21, He responded to my email telling me that my membership would be canceled as of 1-17-22 and they would charge me another $124.95 on 12-18-21. ***** said there was a 30 cancellation notice, but why would I be subject to a 30 cancellation when I was already under the 90 day restriction. I had already by my 90 days subscription and should not have to pay anymore.***** did not try to help me resolve the matter by cancelling my subscription with further charging me. Now, they are trying to collect $124.95 more from me. I only want this charged dropped. I did the things that were required of me according to what they were telling me and now they are trying to take advantage of me even more. ***** brought me in on this program by phone and Instagram.
