I had been going to CSL Plasma for some time. All of a sudden they say I can't donate and that I'm HIV positive. To which I was completely freaked out, because there is no way this was possible. Needless to say I got a phone call from the health department, which was also terrifying. I could not get in to see my doctor for a couple of days. I show her the paper they gave me and she looks at it an says your not postive. I'm like what? She said we will do the test but your not. Anyway I do the test and I'm not posittive for HIV. I call the ***************** back and tell him. He says yeah thisHAPPENS ALL the time with them (plasma places) false postitves. Ok I think no biggy. Yes it is because they put you on a NO DONOR registry that no one can help you get off of. It means that you can't donate Plasma anywhere ever again! I have gotten the run around from CSL for the last year. Everyone tells me they are the only ones that can remove ********* say it is IMPOSSIBLE to be removed. That is funny because right in their office on the wall it states "If you should determinethat there is a mistake contain within your background screening results, you can work with the consumer reporting company to fix the inaccuracies. I have called CSL and talked to manager ****** 2x, he says impossible. He said you were never positive but because you got a flase/postive you can't donate. How many people has this happened to?? How many people have they scared to death & then stop them from donating over a false/positive and then the nurse don't even tell you it could be a false/positve. They just let you freak out! I have never in my life hear such nonsense. I was never positive, but then to put me on a list because of it, is nuts. Then to top it off you can't get off the list when you can prove it is wrong, oh but wait they already know it is wrong. I have talked to CSL customer service, CSL in *********, National donor & no one can give me a corporate #.
