This review was shortened to fit the required maximum character space:Yesterday I was working in my workshop and a pick-up truck pulled up and the driver wanted to talk.He said he needed to get rid of a large truck load of asphalt and wanted to know if I had a place to dump it.I asked him if it was free, he did not answer, and changed the subject.Then he said he was with a paving company and they could spread it on the cement driveway to cover the cracks. I asked what would that cost, he changed the subject again. I asked again about the price, He said he would need to unload the truck before he could give me a price for the project, but he did say, I will take care of you dont worry you will get a good deal. They showed up about an hour later. Before paving began, the hot asphalt was getting cold. One person from the crew lit a long-handled propane torch and laid it on the paved street to pre-heat the paving machine scree. After a few minutes, I had to point out that the street was on fire. Near the project completion, one of the company owners, approached me said the total cost was $10,050, I about fainted because I thought it would be closer to *****. The whole paving episode reminded me of scenes from the old TV show F-*****. After they left, I was surprised that the skid-steer style vehicle driver had ignored my directions and dumped most of the concrete driveway pieces directly on the middle of the driving path-way totally blocking it. Overall, I am very displeased by the deceptive and intentionally vague answered to my specific price questions that I asked no less than four times. I rate the entire job as a poor-quality paving job. I feel that I was intentionally misled about the cost and was cheated out of at least $*****.00. It started out, as you recall, I have a load of asphalt and need a place to dump it. This is a perfect example of a senior citizen being hood-winking. At 82, I should have known better.
