I bought my wedding ring at **************** and Sons 12/11/ 21. My husband and I were married 12.12.21. The ring was delivered to me 1/12/22. I provided the diamond to **************** to be set in the ring. The diamond was given to me by my mom and dad, it was their diamond from my moms wedding ring. I have worn it for 18 years daily. The diamond has been in my family since ****. In 2006 I had the diamond appraised. **************** did not measure the ring in front of me. They gave me the chain back and took the diamond and told me that they would set it. The diamond in the ring is not the same diamond that I gave them and I have my original appraisal to prove it. The Manager at ************************ named *************************** refuses to look into the situation and has taken the stance that no one would ever switch out the diamond. After 3 attempts to resolve, they have refused to investigate, and I have filed a police report. Appraisals are attached, and additional details are attached.Business response

D.Geller and Son is an 84 year old ******* jeweler, where customer service and satisfaction is our top priority. In reference to the above, Our General Manager and ********************* of American Diamond Graduate, *************************** has explained to the complainant that the very old appraisal she is referring to was done with the diamond mounted in a double bezel pendant. This mounting prevented the appraiser from being able to weigh the stone, he guessed the carat weight. The bezel mounting covers part of the diamond, all the way around, so accurate measurements could not be taken to guess the weight, further, you cannot accurately ascertain color and clarity of a diamond mounted this way. We removed the diamond per the customers request and set it in the ring. Before putting it in the ring, our Master jeweler weighed the stone so that we could give her an accurate appraisal. This jeweler has been with D.Geller and Son for many years and is extremely trust worthy. He has complete access to all assets of D.Geller and Son and there have never been any problems....ever. Further, there would be virtually very little gain in taking her diamond and switching it for the one described in our appraisal. The Jewelry Industry recognizes that mounted diamonds cannot be appraised accurately. The old appraisal is very very old, and we have no idea where the piece has been and who handled it between then and 2021. ***************************** has stated that the energy in our ******** store is not good, and that she doesnt like our ***** Mill store because we use plug in air purifiers and they can give her cancer, she also cited her Parrot as proving the diamond is not hers....the stated that the Parrot pecks at the diamond in her ring because he knows its not the same one. **************** did not refuse to work with her, but after all this, he referred her to our attorney. The situation had reached that point. She actually asked us to get a search warrant for the jewelers home, to find the diamond! I have been the President and CEO of D.Geller and Son for 48 years... our integrity is superior and I trust all our associates with all my heart. I am. so sorry for her upset, but this is not a D.Geller and Son Issue.
