The incident occurred 12/28/2023. I ordered to go food and the order was completely wrong. I ******* minutes away and called the store to complain. When I spoke to the person, the person who answered the phone told me the story that the menu item had changed and that I could come back in to replace the item but I had to return the old item. I asked to speak to a manager as this was not reasonable hoping that I could get the order another day perhaps. The person returned to the phone and pretended to be a different person using the names ***** and ****** (they both shared the exact same stutter). The new person told me that they had the menu item in two ways. I looked online and this was not the case. The menu item was listed as always the way that I have known it to come. Initially, I just sought an apology and a refund for the experience. The lying to me and pretending to be 2 possibly 3 different people is upsetting. How can I ever trust that this business will conduct itself ethically and responsibly and fairly? I was told that "some people" participated in this type of behavior that is trying to get free food which seemed racially coded to me because this person (who incidentally is also the person who checked me out in the restaurant said), "oh I'm sure you wouldn't," which to me smacked of a certain level of insensitivity especially being a person of mixed race (white/african-american).
