We hired this company (Exterior Fence Builders) to put up a fence in our backyard. We sent the down payment of $4,101,68 to him on 2/7/2022, which was 50% of the full payment due. He noted that he would start the work on 2/15 through 2/21. He texted my husband that morning at 8:28am that he he had an issue with his truck last week which put him behind on another job. He also stated that our materials were on his truck and after doing some cleaning up he would see us that morning (2/15) to start the process the next day (2/16). He was a no show. At 9:14am my husband reached out to him and he responded back that he was not on his way and was ordering things as he was texting. This made no sense since he claimed he had our items on his truck just yesterday and would drop them off. The weather was not going to be good (rain was coming), so he had another excuse on why he was not going to be showing up. So on 2/17 at 7:57am, my husband reached out and no response. He reached out again that same day at 10:28am and this time he noted he put us back on the schedule for Wednesday 2/23. No show again. My husband did ask him to come by the house on 2/19 to discuss some details and he showed at 10:30 am as he noted. He was suppose to show up again today 2/24 and again he was a no show. He sends a picture of truck with another excuse to make it seem like he is not trying to cheat us out of our money and yet he never showed. I reached out to him and he didn't respond. I then informed him today 2/24 that we will like to cancel our agreement and to please refund us in full. I noted to him today to not go onto our property moving forward.
