I had a tree removal service (Casey Tree Experts) show up to my home on November 8, 2021 and cut down a perfectly healthy tree that was not on my property nor evaluated by their company. Here is the letter I sent to my contact at Casey Tree Experts that explains the issue for your reference:----------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi ***,Im reaching out to follow up from the phone chat you had earlier with my partner ********************* about the unconfirmed tree removal service done by your team today.The issues explained: 1) We never confirmed your tree service. After reaching out to you for confirmation in September we never heard back from you.2) Another tree service was hired and had already completed the work in October, i.e. they removed the rotted oak tree and pruned the two others also specified in your quote.3)A healthy tree in my neighbors lot was randomly picked by your team and removed todayI suspect when they didnt find the rotted oak that was already removed. 4) Im now being asked by my neighbor to replace the ***** with a mature tree and would like your company to replace the ***** with a new, mature tree to correct the mistake.I understand mistakes happen, so Id like to discuss a correction with you as soon as possible so that we can all move forward without difficulty.Please call or email so we can discuss further.Thank you,***************************** ************ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------Business response

The tree job in question was scheduled with the customer by email with a confirmed date of when we were to do the job. My crew arrived on site to complete the work, they knocked on the door and spoke with the customer a few times and nothing was said to the crew about another company completing the work already. There was no email from the customer about canceling the job. There was a lack of communication therefore, a mistake was made. I had emailed the customer multiple times about trying to re-solve the issue. We had an agreement to grind up the ***** and replacing with another tree. However i recommended not to replant in he same location of the *****. It is not good practice to plant where a ***** was ground. We have been open to resolving this issue by agreeing to replace the tree and was awaiting confirmation from the customer regarding the placement of the new tree.
