I went to purchase a vehicle for the first time. I explained to the seller that with my first time buying that I couldnt afford to get anything fixed on the car so could he show me make and models that has no lights on them. He showed me a ****** that had several lights and a ***** where the light didnt cut on until we started to drive. He explained that it was an 02 sensor, he could provide services to get the light off. Remind you here in certain parts of ******* you are required to have an emission check which is why I requested services for any lights on the car. He went with me to get the emission check and I passed but after passing the emission check the light came back on I was promised that he would get the lights off and he would find the issue. Unfortunately, before going to get the catalytic converter fixed as promised another light came on. After just driving the car 1 week and 3 days I ended up with a car that had more problems then he told me and now he is refusing to fix the catalytic converter and will not refund my money. I am trying to get assistance with getting my money back and returning the car or getting the car fixed on his account.

      Complaint: 21799353

I am rejecting this response because: put in a complaint on June 6, 2024 on the business Putting Things Together Auto LLC for him and his partner in business. I responded back as resolved as the seller made it seem like he was gone to resolve the issue at hand but he did not. I'm sending this email out to the BBB to get the assigned case back opened and give additional information as well. I noticed looking back at my paperwork and doing some calling around. The seller has forged someone else's information: name, address, phone number and signature on the bill of sale. I also noticed he changed the amount of what I paid on the bill of sale from 4300 to 2000. The seller told me he had a partner who owned the auto shop with him. I assumed at purchase that was his partner's information on the bill of sale. When i contacted the person who information that was on the bill of sale they informed me that they sold that car over a year ago for 1,000. because the car had been sitting and the damaged to car was too expensive to fix. he sold it for part to the seller that's why he sold it for 1000, it was not drivable. I'm sending out the email to get my complaint reopened if possible because it doesn't not allow me to place a new complaint online with the additional information I have gathered together. I purchased a vehicle from this lot on May 23, 2024 a 2003 ***** Element. Upon purchase the seller told me nothing was major wrong with the car. He had just worked on the O2 sensors on the car but it was in good condition. The next day of having the car the engine light had come on. I contacted the seller and he told me he would get the O2 changed out on the car because code P0420 was appearing and that's what was causing it to come on the O2 sensors. I waited for the seller to order the part and change the O2 sensors. He changed them out and no change the engine light was back on and same code P0420. I asked the seller if I could  get my money back for the car. He insisted that he trade the car out for a different car on the lot since my issue was an engine light. But the car he wanted to switch out with also had a code reading on it as well as the brake light was on for that car. He also wanted me to pay the sales taxes and title change if I chose to switch the car. I turned down the offer of switching cars. Asked him if he would fix the car I paid for and get the engine light off for good or return the funds is what I wanted. He agreed to fix the car. He told me his next step was to order a converter for the car but he had to find a good one for a good price. He asked would I go half with getting the converter since he has gotten the O2's. I agreed on going in half with him. It took him a month to find a converter for the car which came out to be 450. I gave him half of the amount which was 225. Within that month of waiting I was told it was still safe to drive the car with the light on it wouldn't cause any damage to the car. The engine light stayed on and additional light came on like P0303 and P0456 and the engine began to blink off and on. Every time a light came on I went to an auto store to get a diagnosis done and report to the seller on the result for him to fix. But the engine light and code P0420 was something he could not get to stay off as upon agreement. He changed the converter out and the engine light is still on and now is blinking non stop. The car has a shake to it and the seller has now refused to hold up his end of the agreement and stop taking my call or text. At this point I would like a full refund of my purchase and file for scam activities because of the forged information that was given. I will be sending a following email too this email for the assigned case with attachment of all text messages, diagnostic taken, transactions receipts, forged documents of bill of sales, new title, voice audio of conversation between me and the individual who is being forged, and police documents from individual they tried to forge. Because I can not fit all of it on one email.

      Sincerely,
