On May 6, 2022 R&L Bodyshop agreed to repair my 2014 ***** Silverado LTZ for the price of $8,600.00 in two months. The autobody shop was to repair all damage to the front of the vehicle also remove all scratches, dings and dents. I asked the Bodyshop for paperwork pertaining to the repairs that we agreed on. They looked at the vehicle and agreed it would not take the $8600 to repair and asked me for $3000.00. I asked him for paperwork and they said they would have it later. On August 10, 2022 I received a call from the body shop. They stated they needed more money. I asked him again about the paperwork and because I didnt get a solid answer. I made a contract up on my computer and before I gave him the money $3000,00 he signed the contract stating all the above plus more concerning get it registered as a rebuilt title. At that time they told me it would not be any additional charge. I had him sign the contract and no time until I got ready to pick the vehicle up the bodyshop wanted additional money. Bodyshop try to charge me $1,567.85 more then the ******* agreed-upon price. I did start to pay the money but I put on their paperwork that I did not agree with the price and then I was going to go to court over it. They would not give me my vehicle to this day. It is still at the body shop, although they said that they would not charge storage until we can get some resolved, I decided to, use the Better Business Bureau first before I use my attorney. I have paid them $6000.00 and the contract states $******* left to pay. I also used their towing person and they would not give me a receipt, Im also asking additional $180 for towing because I could its to late to get the money back from AAA because of no receipt. In addition to that the vehicle was told using their tow truck person he did not provide me a receipt. I asked several times and they would not give me a receipt so I could not claim it on my AAA which is $180 that I am requesting the Bodyshop pay.
