september of 2022 i hired georgia associates plumbing, LLC (***********************) to fix/resolve a plumbing issue. months later, june of 2023, the same issues started occurring. a different plumber came out to determine what needed to be done and while asking me questions i showed him pictures of what georgia associates plumbing, LLC (***********************) did and he immediately shared that what was done/shown in the pictures was not up to code. i contacted ***********************. initially denying what was done even suggested to dig up another part of the office to say something else caused the issue. after again being reminded of the pictures, he then blames the work on his employees. however, i reminded him that the picture that showed a fixture that was not up to code came from him directly. he later admitted to cutting corners and verbally agreed to repair the damage caused. its august and i am still not able to function because he has not resolved the issue. ive lost business and employees.Business response

To Whom It ******************************************** am ************************* and I work for ***************************. I have worked as a plumber for ****************** for over 3 years and he is a skilled master plumber and highly professional as a businessman. He has stellar relationships with the clients we have worked with over the years.
I helped ****************** with the house on ******************* owned by ***********************. There we laid 80 ft of sewer line and 80ft of water service to bring water to the house being built on the property behind the owner's home. Our ability to complete the work as initially determined was delayed due to concrete being placed improperly by other contractors that laid on the sewage line that we laid. This made it impossible for the sewage line to have "fall" without which it would cause a failed inspection.
When ****************** spoke to ************ about the situation with the other contractors and how it impacted our work, she began screaming at ****************** as he calmly tried to explain what was going on. Even after ****************** found better solutions to resolve the issues, ************ was still unsatisfied and belligerent in her communication. When I spoke with ************, she was loud, refused to hear me and used vulgar language in person and over the phone. This is what I witnessed myself while working on the jobsite.Customer response

To whom it may concern,
In response to the complaint, Georgia Associates Plumbing went to the address in **********, **. We pulled the toilet and located the problem. The floor was ************* and the damaged drain line was removed. The repair was done using the same fittings and the area was tested for leaks. Georgia Associates Plumbing went back out one year later and took a camera to the line. From this there were feminine products pulled out. At that time, it was already one year past the original one year warranty. The problem could occur in the future because the line runs flat.
On another note, an plumber from a different company came out to assess the issue and continuously flushed an already backed up toilet causing it to overflow and cause interior damage. It is a 1.3 gallon toilet and would not overflow unless someone keeps flushing.
Sincerely,
***********************

*********************** from Georgia Associates Plumbing took $5,000 for plumbing services and inturn he caused damage, used incorrect parts, significantly delayed my project, caused financial strain and then totally abandoned the contract. The work he did all has to be redone to pass inspection. All of his referrals are crooks as well. They will start then beg and trap you into paying then you will never see them again. Jan 28 called plumber to unclog basement toilet and evaluate plumbing. Jan. 29. *******, ***********************, also the owner comes out. He determines it is the drain line that needs to be fixed. He would need to get a mini excavator to repair. Feb 2. He gives a quote for $4,870 to get a tractor/excavator to fix the drain/sewer line and to install a 2 way clean out. He request partial payment of quote to order excavator. On Feb 2. partial payment is made via credit card payment.Feb 6. **** arrives to Piney Wood house to execute plumbing repair as agreed. INVOICE NO. INV20230210 dated 2/6/2023, states he was to Hydro scrub main line through downstairs toilet. Dig up 4 sewer line, removed damaged section and install new clean out. Total is $4,870.00. 90 day warranty.Mar 24. I contact **** to inform & send pics of backup in basement toilet. He comes out. He says it's the drain line that's approx 3-5 feet from the initial area he dug up. He states it will cost me an additional $7,000 to do fix this. I told him I'm not paying this as this is the same problem that is supposed to be covered by 90 day warranty. He tells that why the 2nd stoppage he came out and jetted and snaked the drain was free. I stated to him his warranty was on the drain line repair he did 6 weeks ago. Are you going to honor your warranty? He says I found 5 tampons. I state your initial assessment was a damaged drain line which we paid you $4,870 to fix. Now, you just stated to me it's my drain line again. Your warranty says 90 days period. I told him my family must get this resolved as we have been staying in hotels and with friends because as he is aware we cannot shower, use the bathroom, do laundry without properly working facilities. I ask a final time do you intend on honoring your 90 day warranty. He states the tampons again. I said I'll be taking the next appropriate steps. His rebuttal- this is why I didn't stop up or clean up downstairs for free. I have nothing more to say.Business response

To whom it may concern,
This letter is in response to a complaint made on March 27, 2023 by one of my clients. My statement is as follows:
Upon arrival in January 2023 to 2023 at ***************************************************************, it was discovered that there was a main line stoppage. Georgia Associates Plumbing opened the clean-out and noticed roots in the drain line. Hydro scrubbed the main line but was unable to correct the problem. A large tractor was used to dig up the *** sewer line. The damaged section of the sewer line was removed, repaired, covered, and tested. The problem was resolved. Six weeks later, around March 24th the owner complained of drain line stoppage again. The owner claimed no items were flushed in the toilet system, but feminine products were discovered in the main line during a snaking procedure, and products were retrieved off the head of the sewer machine. I explained to the owner the need to remove the front porch steps and dig up a different portion of the cast iron sewer line to repair the damage caused by the blockage of feminine products. This repair is completely different and unrelated to the previous repair, and it was explained to the owner the price to repair this new issue. The owner was not charged the second time when I came out to snake the drain in March but the blockage was too severe with feminine products backing up the cast iron sewer line.
A 90 warranty was issued at the completion and resolution of the first issue. The most recent issue is not covered under that 90 day warranty because the damage is in a different location and unrelated to the first issue. The first was because of roots, the second because of feminine products.
I have also provided two photos, one with baby wipes that were pulled from the toilet when snaked, the other has tampons on the floor also what was pulled from the toilet when snaked.*Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business. ↩
