On ***** *** 2023 my car was vandalized with rips in door, seat to get in, steering wheel looked like someone carved it with knife, car all of a sudden running ragedy with poisonous fumes coming out back, with a red warning light on all of a sudden , so I was scared to drive car. I called the police, but when I drove the car on *** ** 2023 I realized there was more vandalism done to car, so I called the appraiser, but he wouldn’t come out. Now the car repair people have found more vandalism on my car, but GFB appraiser is refusing to go look at car because he says without a police report , Georgia Farm Bureau isn’t claiming liability, and this isn’t right and we have been with GFB insurance for 25 years: this is a scam GFB is running! I called an attorney and she said that isn’t right! She said my job is to call the police, but I can’t make them write a report and give it to me. Then I called the supervisor of the appraiser at GFB , and he calls me Ms. *****: the name of the police officer that came out and looked at car who told me to put in a claim with my insurance company for vandalism. Now the supervisor is lying about calling me Ms *****-which says he’s hiding something! Now I believe he’s been paid off by the criminals that have hacked my phone and tried to blackmail me, but after I didn’t send any money: The criminal is now paying people to scam me out of money and to vandalize my car: I’m trying my best to get authorities involved, and I think I finally am about to get that to happen.

We have had an opportunity to review the complaint submitted by ****** *********

Georgia Farm Bureau appraiser Nicholas Daniels inspected the 1989 ***** ****** ** on ****23.  He completed a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of the insured automobile. His investigation did not reveal any apparent damage caused by vandalism. His inspection revealed wear and tear to the interior with no apparent signs of vandalism. His inspection also revealed no apparent signs of vandalism to the exterior.  GFB has requested a police report on many occasions that has not been produced by Mrs. ********* If Mrs. ******** would like to submit a police report or any other evidence, GFB would be glad to review.  Based on our investigation and review of the evidence at this time, the submitted claim is not a covered loss.

The accusations of our organization “running a scam” are baseless.

I hope this letter will assist in your investigation.  Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

On **/**/2022 while I was out of town, a horrific storm hit the State of Georgia. When I returned home I saw damage to my exterior fence and when I walked into my house water was everywhere in my kitchen. The water was coming from a Vent in the kitchen and a large stain across the kitchen ceiling. I called Farm Bureau and the agent came out and looked at my fence and kitchen, he also brought a roofer to go up on my roof who stated that he did not see a leak, so the agent assumed that the leak is from the pipes and concluded a maintenance problem and suggested that I call a plumber, however, today */*/22 and yesterday */*/22, it rained and the leak is back. Agent also stated that Farm Bureau does not have any plumbers but they have a water evacuation company, however my ceiling was no longer wet because it was no longer raining. When I rec'ed my claim response, Farm Bureau had filed 2 separate claims on my house, charging me $1,000.00 deductible for both (one for the fence and one for the water damage) The agent only included 2 rooms on the downstairs level in reference to repairing the ceiling so that they match on my open floor plan, and told me that "a good painter should be able to match the popcorn ceiling from 19** when the house was built with the other two rooms. The agent also stated that they are not responsible for paying the fee that a plumber charges to come out and estimate the damages, yet they don't have a plumber, and they don't even know if it is a plumbing problem, OR IF PROBLEM IS RELATED, so I am stuck with the dilemma of having to find out what the actual problem is since they don't have skilled plumbers and possible 2 claims filed against my home owners insurance, when clearly my claim is in reference to the storm, and happened at the same time. This is not a coincidence. I am very disappointed with Farm Bureau and do not recommend them and I will be treated fairly. know this claim is not complete but I wanted to reflect on this process so far

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/15) */ Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB) has reviewed **. *****'s complaint regarding above referenced claim. After receiving the complaint, I called **. ***** and based on that conversation, it appears we have reached an amicable solution to bring this claim to a potential resolution. It has been determined that **. ***** does in fact have two different claims, one from a pipe leak causing interior damage to her home and one from wind damage to her backyard fence. I explained to **. ***** that these two causes of loss were separate occurrences and thus would be two separate claims. Based on **. *****'s description when the loss was first reported, only the wind damage claim was initially set up. **. ***** has now requested that a separate claim be set up for the interior water damage. GFB has already handled and paid the claim for wind damage sustained by **. *****'s fence and once we receive the repair estimate from **. *****'s contractor for the interior damage, we will attempt to settle her water damage claim. Please let us know if you have questions or need anything further. Sincerely, Lindsey J. S**** Field Claims Supervisor Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2022/02/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) First of all some of the detailed information provided is untrue. Why would I call in a wind damage claim as priority, when my kitchen is running over with water from my ceiling? Furthermore, if that statement were true, then why did the claims adjuster show up at my house with a roofer, on the first day he came out to access my damages. They were only originally concerned if I had roofing damage or not. In my opinion, based on this incident, it appears that once they determined that it wasn't roof damage, they were no longer concerned about my home. I will say that now, after filing a complaint with the BBB, and State of Georgia Insurance Department, I am getting a better reception. I have had my leak fixed (which was not covered by Farm Bureau Insurance because they stated that my pipe bursting during the storm was a maintenance issue) so now I am preparing to get estimates to have my ceilings repaired by Farm Bureau Insurance. Once I am whole again, I will gladly respond with an update. Thank you for all you do for citizens and the public, who need an additional voice sometimes, to get the job done. Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2022/02/22) */ Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB) has reviewed **. *****'s rebuttal to our previous response in which she appears to take exception to GFB's prior statement that we originally set up just a wind claim based on **. *****'s initial description of loss. We've attached a recording of the call in which **. ***** first reported the claim. In this call, she reports that a recent storm had blown down a portion of her fence. She also indicated there was water in her kitchen and suggests the water may have entered her home through the roof. Regardless, as indicated in our prior response, a second claim, for the reported water damage, has now been appropriately set up. In connection that claim (water), GFB Field Claims Representative (FCR) Chuck F****** met with **. ***** yesterday, prepared an estimate for repairing the water damage, and issued payment. Please let us know if you have questions or need anything further. Sincerely, Lindsey J.
