    This company doesn't handle business properly or professionally when it comes to giving back security deposits! If you lease from Summit and you deal with Ms Kate which is in accounting or Kevin whom will most likely show you the property in the ************** off ************* *******.... Supposedly that is whom your suppose to get your deposit back from after all is said and done. Mr. Harrison is the Owner of the buildings and even though I was depositing my payments into his accounts I was still sending every receipt to Summit. I have every text message as well as every email to Summit. I was told by the Owner Mr. Harrison to meet with Kevin return key and my check would be mailed out once he return the next week. I sent a text to check on the status and was told it was on the way. Checked back a few days later after not receiving it and got a copy of a memorandum from 2018 where there was a debt and an arrangement and the debt was satisfied per Mr. Harrison and Ms Kate from Summit from July of 2020 where Mr. Harrison wrote at the bottom of it and sent it to me and said it appear I still owe a balance. He knew just as well as I, Kevin and Ms Kate that the balance was satisfied. I had Kate to send me a copy of the memorandum from the office and confirmed that the debt was satisfied before explaining to her what was going on. After the conversation with Ms Kate, her response was that she would get with Mr. Harrison and Kevin and get back to me and I have never heard back from any of them! So my advice to anyone that rents from The Summit Group is be very mindful. When the salons had to close for Covid 19. We were still force to pay rent when I wasn't working and wasn't receiving no income and Mr. Harrison and Kevin knew this! They are very shady and I would not recommend them after the service I've received along with they took my $***.00 security deposit just because you felt like you can Mr. Harrison!

    The Summit Group Response

    As Kevin discussed with you multiple times and per your lease agreement, your landlord (Mr. Harrison) is holding your security deposit. The Summit Group cannot refund money we are not holding. We have made contact with Mr. Harrison and he reported to us that you were not current on the rent and therefore ineligible for a security deposit refund.

    In the amendment signed on 07-**-2019 you agreed to pay your regular monthly rent, your monthly water & sewer contribution, and an extra monthly payment to satisfy the past due rent. The Summit Group shows receipt of funds totaling the monthly amounts due, but not the past due amount for the time period of ******, 2019 through ******* 2020. Any payments credited to your account for the time period after *** 2020 were deposited directly into Mr. Harrison's account. While we received some emailed pictures of these deposit receipts, we do not show receipt of all, and the confirmation that the debt was satisfied would be the decision of Mr. Harrison.

    To BBB and summit I have a letter that they wrote up as to what I had to put as well as they do and the debt was satisfied and they know this as well as Danny H*******. Submit has all my receipts as well as Danny. Not one time no one ever mention this to me until now after time for me to get my deposit back. So after experiencing what I have I will inform others as to how they do business. Thanks
