I own a vacation rental in *********, ** and Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia was managing the rentals of my home. Here are the issues that I have had with them:1. A woman rented my home and they said that she "demanded" to be moved to a new home because she didn't "like" the kitchen countertops, nor the showerhead. There is nothing wrong with either and both have pictures posted on their website. She also said that the kitchen sink wasn't clean which is Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia's responsibility. Not only did I lose out on the rental money for that weekend (approximately $300) but they made me pay her $165 cleaning fee. I haven't been to my home in about 3 months and they are responsible for cleaning it. 2. I have had damage to my furniture with them that I reported to them and they have not responded to these emails. The items damaged are a custom leather chair that has a permanent wet **** on it, an outdoor table that has paint on it, my kitchen countertop island that has paint on it and my dining room table that has significant scratches on it. I can paint the kitchen island and the outdoor table but I cannot fix the leather chair nor the dining room table. I would estimate this damage to be around $3500. This was reported to them in emails in April ******. They claimed that they were a full management company but refused to clean my screened in porch or deck and I had several complaints from renters that they were not clean. 4. They sent me a list of items to be fixed in August that didn't need to be fixed. It was a complaint list from the one woman who "demanded" to be moved and they were all personal preference items. All of the items were in good working order. An example is that the light switches are "dirty." They aren't dirty. They are beige. It was a bunch of items like that. The towel bar is too high. This from someone who rented the home for 2 days. I told MHRG that I would not fix items that didn't need to be fixed and they ended our contract without warning within the hour.I have emails from them concerning all of the matters above.

My experience with Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. Several issues during my stay have left me with a strong urge to share my grievances.First and foremost, the company charged me additional pet cleaning services that were completely unwarranted. This was particularly frustrating as the property was advertised as pet-friendly, and I had already paid a pet cleaning deposit. It felt like a clear case of double-charging, and it left me questioning their integrity.Furthermore, Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia made false claims about us stealing towels and bed sheets. These accusations were baseless and damaging to our reputation. It's concerning that a rental company would resort to such untruths.During our 7-day stay, we faced constant shortages of essential supplies. They never provided an adequate number of towels, and we had to purchase our own. Additionally, the lack of garbage bags, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and toilet paper was a major inconvenience, forcing us to spend more money out of pocket. The most frustrating part of this experience was their claim that we left the home in disarray. We have video footage clearly showing that we left it in a cleaner condition than when we first arrived. The discrepancy between their accusations and the evidence we have is concerning and raises questions about their professionalism and honesty. In summary, my experience with Mountain Home Rentals of Georgia was marred by unjustified charges, false accusations, and a lack of basic supplies. Their handling of the situation and the unfounded claims have left me deeply dissatisfied with their service. I would advise potential renters to exercise caution and thoroughly document their stay to avoid similar issues.

We are very familiar with this guest - unfortunately. There are several things we can produce for you to prove the absolute chaos this guest caused us over the holidays. 1. This was an Airbnb guest - and Airbnb has already reviewed his complaint and all the evidence - and removed his review from their system. They have the history of all communication with him - and sided with us. We have a folder full of photos as well that refute his claims. 2. The 2 owners of our company went onsite with this guest after they complained of no towels and other supplies. The guest (or his wife) confirmed that they did have all the towels - on every bed in the house - as well as the dish pods and laundry pods that were left for them on the kitchen counter. 3. This guest brought a dog who was in heat during their stay and bled all over everything. The guest's wife (we assume) confirmed this to us on our visit to the house - where we witnessed the dog ourselves. 4. The guest left blood in many areas of the home as well as 2 dog turds on the rug. They left trash piled up outside the home - which is not allowed in Big Canoe because of bears, coyotes, raccoons, etc. They left dishes piled up in the kitchen claiming the dishwasher did not work. Our team hit the start button upon arrival and the dishes ran with no problems. 5. The guest left the property claiming it was in pristine condition - and that they had video proof of that. This was absurd with all the chaos they left for us. Again, Airbnb sided with us based on all the evidence, our history with their guests, etc. 6. Here is a link to this property on Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/992215744163794345?source_impression_id=p3_1704472011_RPcmwnjfNFrQzurU Notice that we have nothing but 5-star reviews on this property, notice that we are a SuperHost with Airbnb and have been a host for 2+ years. 7. This guest walked in the property trying to scam us out of money for a discounted stay - which is not uncommon these days - so we are on top of our game dealing with this.
