2 men came to my house because the electricity was out in part of my house, I was quoted the price $245 to repair the problem. The man went to my electrical box and put a cable on it and said I have to call my electrical company. He said I owed him the $245 even though he could not repair my electricityBusiness response

After reviewing the account, it was determined that the issues were coming from the GA ***** side of the meter. We had to charge her to trouble shoot. She signed the form and authorized the charge. Once we found the issue, she signed saying she was ok with it. We could not fix it and referred her to GA ***** to fix the issue.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I felt like I had to sign and pay the bill. I was alone in my home with these two men. He had me sign electronically 3 different forms that had no writing on them. I was intimidated and I'm sure if someone was there with me, I would not have signed or paid the bill. Again, I was told when I called for the appointment, I would only be charged $50.00 if they could not fix the problem.

The $245.45 were troubleshooting fees to find out what the issue was, not to resolve the issue. The $59 service fee was waived upon approval of the troubleshooting fee.
Customer signed an estimate and the invoice providing permission to perform the troubleshooting and acknowledging that we performed the troubleshooting.

After diving deeper into this and reading what the customer complaint was. Ms. called us out for partial power to home. *** diagnosed the issue to panel finding no power to AC, and upstairs rooms. He also found black wire from meter was out and advised customer issue is w/ power company and advise for her to reach out to her electrical company. Ms is upset it was not fixed but the technician confirmed w/ her it was not something BB could fix and advised what she needed to do to fix the issue. She signed off and gave him the okay to perform the diagnosis. The charge of $245.45 was a troubleshooting charge to trace all the wires to determine the issues, we have a signed estimate approving the troubleshooting and a signed invoice stating what we found.
