7/25 WORK BEGAN ON THE SECOND (REPLACEMENT) POUR OF OUR DRIVEWAY. ************** WAS IN THE RAIN (5/15 - 5//17) AND IT RUNIED IT, SO THEY HAD TO REDO IT. THE SECOND TIME THEY LEFT LOW-LYING AREAS AND NOW IT HOLDS WATER AND MUD WHERE IT CROSSES TO THE DRY CREEK. IT NEEDS TO BE TORN UP AND ELEVATED IN THOSE AREAS, BUT THEY SAID IT'S OUR PROBLEM. WE ARE SENIOR ADULTS AND SAVED TO REPLACE OUR OLD DRIVEWAY. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR PROMISE OF A ONE-YEAR QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP. I SUSPECT BECAUSE OF THEIR CARLESS DECISION TO POUR THE DRIVEWAY IN THE RAIN, WHICH WAS A COSTLY ERROR ON THEIR PART. THEY WILL NOT COOPERATE TO RECTIFY THIS MESS. IT'S CAUSED ME A GREAT DEAL OF STRESS AND MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS.

Engineered Solutions removed and replace the Driveway in question on a day with no rain in the forecast May 17, 2023. Rain occurred, and the finish was damaged. The customer brought it to our attention, we agreed that the driveway was damaged and immediately agreed to remove and repour. The second pour was completed on 7/25 and 7/28.
On 12/4/23 we received a complaint that the driveway was holding water. On 12/12 a representative from **** met the customer to review. It was determined that there were some landscaping issues with an existing dry creek bed that needed to be addressed. **** advised the customer of a remedy and the customer seemed to understand it was outside of our original scope of work.
The driveway was poured at the same elevation on both pours. After that meeting the customer filed a complaint with the ********************. On or around 12/15 a representative of **** left a voicemail message with the customer to discuss and as of to day 12/21 we have not had a response. We will try to contact the customer again in an attempt to work toward a fair and reasonable resolution.

7/26/23 Date of completion of the second pour. 4/18/23 was the contract date. They demolished and poured the driveway twice due to negligence of the first pour, which was done in the pouring rain. Their is a residual white chalky substance which sticks to our car tires. The driveway is already cracking in the seams and has a chunk out of it, and another one which appears to be breaking off. They refuse to honor their guarantee and will not repair the severe dip in the middle of the driveway which holds water. They claim we have a drainage problem, well we do now due to their incompetence in leveling the driveway. We have a dry creek and water should flow across the driveway, but how now it holds water.

We have received the new comment about "chalky white substance" and chunks out of it and cracks in the seams. The seams are placed in the concrete so naturally occurring cracks will be contained in the seams, it is normal and expected. We have contacted the Gegorys to come and take a look.at the other issues. As stated, before we are happy to work towards a fair and reasonable solution.

I recently had an encapsulation done on my home. When I called the company it was not for an encapsulation. I called for my home foundation to be repaired due to cracks in walls, hardwood floor gaps, and unlevel floors. When **** showed up his only focus was to make a sale on encapsulation and like the fool he played me to be I agreed but only after he assured me that they will be installing steel beams to hold the joists in place and level the floors with life guarantee. The very first day the workers arrived I knew he lied because the workers knew nothing except the encapsulation and one 18 inch lift to go under a falling pillar. ******, a supervisor came out and quickly realized **** never even walked into my home on the day of the estimate. I have video footage to confirm all of what I'm saying as well as the workers witnessed an argument and screaming match between myself and **** the day he came back out here the second time. He admitted he never came inside nor did he inspect any of the crawlspace. It was decided that they would do 2 beams and shimmy a pillar on "our dime" as **** referred to it. But I paid this company over $28,000 so no it was not on ****'s dime! Today I am writing you because my floors are getting worse and I'm afraid because I have no way to pay someone to fix what I paid ESOG to fix. They did not do anything to repair my home. I have since reached out to ************************, the owner with my complaint as well as my video and picture evidence. He said he was going to investigate this further and get back to me but has yet to do so. He hasn't responded to my messages. I will be paying on a bank loan for 5 years for these repairs that were never done while my home is slowly falling apart and I have no way to fix it!I have copies of all videos and emails and texts if you would like them. Thank you for your time.

Ms. ******* husband contacted *********************** in our office to request a quote for crawl space waterproofing and encapsulation from our company. ********************* was scheduled to visit **************** and had a conversation prior to entering the crawlspace. **** was made aware of moisture / water issues and a *** column that had failed.
A visual inspection was performed, humidity and moisture levels were checked. It was determined that the *** column was leaning and had settled. The relative humidity was ****% and the moisture content in the wood members was 14%-18%,both in excess of industry standards and recommendations. Standing water was noted in the Front left corner and the right rear area of the crawlspace.
Upon exiting the crawlspace, **** showed **************** a hand drawing and explained the repair plan which included 2 code compliant support columns with c-channel top caps, (One on each side of the *** column) a crawlspace drainage system with 2 sump pumps, and crawlspace encapsulation. A detailed proposal was sent over with a CAD drawing of the repair plan. ***************************** signed the proposal, and the project was scheduled for installation.
After the project started, it was brought to Chads attention that there were other areas of concern. An additional visual inspection was performed. During this inspection **** found that 1 additional *** column was lower than the rest. The structure was lifted in this area and metal shims were placed over the column at no additional charge. After performing this task 2 cracks in the drywall above were significantly improved.

The area is now within industry standards in terms of standing water and relative humidity and the damage due to excessive moisture should subside.
The 2 permanent support columns carry a transferable life of the structure warranty.
The crawlspace drainage system carries a transferable life of the structure warranty except for the pumps. They are electric and carry a 5-year warranty.                                                                                                                                        The 20-mil encapsulation liner carries a life of the structure warranty against rips and tears.

There are some issues that will need to be addressed from above. These were not in our original scope of work and are outside of our area of expertise.

Due to the excessive moisture levels in the crawlspace severe cupping and some bowing has occurred in the hardwood floors. The bowing is most noted in the front kitchen area. The cupping is noted throughout the house where               hardwood is present.

The soft area in the office is due to rotten subfloor and joist damage. This will need to be addressed from the top down.

Henges are loose at pantry door.

Vent ***** should be installed at each crawlspace vent.

I have spoken with **************** and have agreed to make a site visit to evaluate her concerns. This visit is scheduled for Friday February 10th,2023. ESOG provided a clear scope of work signed by the customer (attached to this response), executed on that scope of work, and received payment in full for that scope of work. We are always happy to address concerns in a fair and reasonable manner and will pursue that end in our upcoming meeting. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or to discuss the matter in greater detail.
