We hired this contractor and gave him 43% in advance of the contracted price. He misguided us and made us buy the wrong product. Before starting the work, he didn't provide the Insurance details. We trusted him and let him continue to do the flooring work. We observed faulty work. There was also a lot of damage to the walls and the baseboards of our house (scratches, holes, and dents). He also hadn't covered any of our appliances, furniture, and other personal belongings causing dust to pile up in these places. When we complained about his unprofessionalism as he claimed himself as a licensed and Insured contractor, he demanded full payment when he has not even completed his work. We told him that first, fix the mistakes he has made and once we are satisfied with the work then we will pay him. He told us that he didn't have time to fix his mistakes as he got a big mansion contract, and he could not let his regular customer wait for this. He threatened us that if we didn't pay him, he would call the cops, and when we mentioned that we would not pay him till he fixes his mistakes. He called the cops on us. We lost his trust at that point because instead of fixing his mess this guy wanted to get paid and wrap up. The contractor also told us that if he starts to repair then it would cost him additional time and money.All we need now is his insurance information, which he is supposed to provide us along with his contract before starting his work.Business response

Good morning, This customer******has abused our employees verbally and racial and denied payment upon completion of the work .. Our lawyer has placed a complaint with the courts to resolve this issue .. Mr ***** lied his name to us also given us a fake name of ********************* instead of ************************* ! We are moving forward with the courts to request full payment and formal investigation on the verbal abuses and mental towards our employers ! Do you also our lawyer number?

I am rejecting this response because:**** instructed ** at the beginning that address any questions or concerns only to him. We didn't speak to his crew because it wasn't necessary. This reveals a lot about his character since he's lying about it. I contacted him through ********* using my profile name ***** (my real name is uncommon and harder to pronounce it correctly). However, when we were about to finalize the contract, I called **** and provided my official full name. He's diverting the actual ask, and his claim about completing work is laughable since he only finished 50-60% of the job, and that was done poorly, causing damages throughout my house." We only demanding the insurance information which he should have provided to us in the beginning. I have also attached demand letter that he already received from my attorney.

This man is lying about everything he will have to answer for all this lies in court also .. he also lied to the credit card companies and request the refund for the whole project which has already been refund to him .. he received full refund for this already .. he will have to pay us in court and respond to us by the law .. he should be reciving a subpoena soon .. we will request full payment which is over ***** also a lien holder has already been placed in his house and cars .. thanks again
