I am a senior single homeowner who has lived in same house 18 yrs. I purchased a carrier hvac system for $12,500. Coolray company also includes Mr. ******** I had an outside garden spicket needed replaced. The plumber arrived gave me quote and i accepted. He charged me $450.00 to change out a outdoor spicket. He was here less than 30 minutes. He may have turned off water under crawl space.. He quickly removed spicket and replaced. I noticed behind the spicked he put a piece of white rubber around to secure. The water cutoff is in the crawl space and he reduced the water pressure to 20. Not happy about that either. My complaint is Mr. ******* now advertises a $79.00 waived service fee if work is performed. When i asked for explanation of why $450.00 cost on my replace spicket i was told just to drive the truck to my property is $250.00 I felt ripped off. The accounting office did give me a $50.00 refund. Surely a plumber who is just hourly would have been to my satisfaction. Starting to look again i have a back of house spicket needs replaced. This repair was made in August 2023, Ms. paid $413.77 for the repairs, we have an estimate up front that was approved to move forward. She was not happy with the price after the fact, after the repair, she called and stated she was not happy with the cost, we gave her a $50 discount under customer satisfaction. We attempted to explain we are a flat rate company that did not charge by the hour and the work we did came with a 2 year parts warranty and 1 year labor warranty.Review from Jeannine D

***** and ***************************** Tech ******************************* visited late by 2 hours to an a/c that was not cooling. He spent 2 hours trying to repair final diagnosis was the capacitor was faulty. The real challenge came to be he was working on the downstairs compressor when the upstairs was the problem. He left scheduling a return visit next day 4/26/2024. The 27th he arrived with a trainee (supposedly) who did all the talking, a leak detection was found however, he first said it was the evaporator coil, then told us he hooked up the machine incorrectly and it was in the compressor (cost of repair including new capacitor was around $4200) when i asked how much for a new compressor it was about $3600.He left us feeling very unsecure in his ability to diagnose anything with precision.The next day CoolRay's sales person was quick to call to set an appointment and upsell us however, we decided to have a second opinion by a recommended HVAC provider from our trusted neighbor. They said nothing was wrong, capacitor, freeon, compressor, and evaporator coil were all function to manufacture standard levels. The A/C has performed to expectation since. He had to reinstall the cover plate on the compressor as ****** had it on crooked.This is clearly a desire to upsell and create business profits when the customers are in a panic situation of having no A/C and expecting the worst.Extremely disappointed in CoolRay's service and their approach to customers.Review from Carolyn J

************************* is an amazing HVAC Technician. He was out 4/30/24 to diagnose my problems. I called COOLRAY this morning (5/6/24) to schedule the repairs. ******* came out the same day and got my AC working. I highly recommend the company and *************************. I will always ask for him if I need more HVAC work. He was professional, friendly and explained things so I understood what was going on.Review from Blondie W

After paying ******* for a then missing thermostat After a tragedy, CoolRay accountant promised a refund after I return the thermostat. I returned the thermostat and asked for my refund! Now CoolRay Heating and Air said that my lifetime warranty to be refunded by Carrier because that who made the thermostat. Now there nothing of such mentioned in my lifetime warranty! I was given a lifetime warranty BY COOLRAY HEATING AND AIR ONLY, Nothing in the contract stated that ******* was responsible for CoolRay Heating and Air lifetime warranty. I stated that my contract lifetime warranty was guaranteed by CoolRay Heating and Air who sold me the Lifetime warranty! Now CoolRay Heating and Air accountant stated that she is using the ******* to give me another Lifetime warranty! YES COOLRAY HEATING AND AIR HAS THE RETURN *************** *******! The only 24/7 service that is guaranteed, are the people answering the phones. The life blood which is the warehouse is closed on the weekends. So God forbid you have a problem when the warehouse closes. No one can help. No one is on call. Contact every manager you can. They wil all tell you to sit and spin till monday. All the while, no one knows if the warehouse even has the part to fix the problem. So sweat it out over the weekend to find out on monday you'll be waiting another 3 to 6 business days because that's when the warehouse orders it. Coolray is not a business that cares about quality and service. Only the bottom line (money). Now many people have had nothing but good things to say about coolray. but once they find themselves in my predicament, they'll be singing a different tune. I had my entire hvac system replaced in my home. After just a year my thermostat quit working. The only time I had a problem. No help. A 95 degree house during a hot georgia summer with 4 dogs and a litter of 9 2 week old pups.Review from Philip T

I've had my Heating and A/C unit replaced. The work was completed on May 24, 2023. The Comfort Consultant that came to my home was ***********************. **************** and I sat at my dining room table discussing the terms. My concern is that whatever we covered and my selections that were made on his I-Pad, I never received any of those documents that he said he would send to me via email. For instance I never received any of the documents pertaining to the sale. Example being the price of the unit minus any discounts (senior) he said I would receive. Also, no documentation of the additional $499 that I selected for the 10 year maintenance warranty. Not to mention the 6.9% interest rate that I chose over the several options that was provided to me for the financing. He pretended like he was documenting everything on his I-Pod. Everything that I selected and went over with him I have no documentation. The only evidence that there was any transaction at all is a letter form a finance company and not the ********** like I was led to believe letting me know when my first payment is due at ****% not the 6.9% that he showed me on his computer and that I agreed to. I called him on his cell the next day and he said he would get to back to me but I haven't heard from since. So I called the office several times and explained my situation and each time I was told that either **************** or his supervisor would contact me but as of today no response from COOLRAY at all.Review from Dawn G

Coolray was my go to service people until they messed up my a/c Now all they want to do is up sell you more items with a discount because you signed up for maintenance.They dont stand behind there work And technician ********************* is very flippant and non helpful.Left property after I asked him to wait while I was on hold for supervisor.Left me without A/C - its been out for 3 days now temps are currently over 80 degrees.Will never do business with Coolray againReview from Kent S

After 3 visits in 5 weeks they didnt have the correct diagnosis, yet charged me each time. Blow **************************** (Angies List) came out and had the correct diagnosis and had the unit fixed in less than an hour. Coolray is the worst company to do business with. Im still waiting for ******* from Customer Relations to return my call.Coolray Heating & Air Conditioning Response

I had horrible experience with this company. They really don't deserve one star. I was told that I needed a new unit. I got a second opinion and was advised that my system was working fine. I was never provided with receipt or inspection report by the technician the day of the service. I called the office the next day and a young lady in the office emailed me both documents. After reviewing that documents I was shocked to see that my signature and initials were both forged. I called back to the office and received a received a return call from a manager who apologized and advised that he would follow up with the technician about this situation. Our service manager called and spoke with Ms. this issue was resolved, we apologized to the customer, our tech could not close out the ticket without a signature, He **** a line thru on the **** to close out the call. Our tech's know this is not a practice we allow.
