I visited the GoHealth Urgent Care Portland clinic at ****************************************************************************** on March 22 because I needed an emergency prescription. I paid $195 out of pocket since I live in ****** and I'm insured by ******************* I need an itemized bill to claim this expense, which GoHealth has been unable to provide since I already paid the bill. I've emailed and called their billing deparment multiple times, I've received no replies to emails and calls are not picked up. All I need is an itemized statement/bill for something I already paid.Business Response

I received a surprise bill of $375 for an urgent care visit from a year ago, 03/15/2024. After contacting my insurance provider, I learned that GoHealth failed to appropriately file a claim with my insurance. Visited a NorthWell, GoHealth Urgent Care. I have medical insurance that the urgent care accepts. When I was there and feeling quite sick, it was demanded that I give them my credit card to be kept on file. I told them I have insurance and will not give them an open credit card. They told me no charges would be made and that I would received a bill that I can decline to pay as payment is not automatic unless I do not decline payment. I got a bill by email that is 10 times what I expected it should be. The bill has a link which does not work, a phone number I have been calling for 2 days and goes on hold or says will call back and does not. The links on the email bill do not work.I am not and do not authorize any charges for this bill. However the urgent care told me if I do not decline when I get the email I will automatically be billed as they have my card information. There is no way to respond to the bill and decline payment. At least until I see a medical bill which I have not.Business Response

Northwell/GoHealth emailed me to say "Convenient payment" had been scheduled for an urgent care visit from last month (1/25/25). The credit card number listed on the email was incorrect - the charge is not supposed to go on that card and frankly I don't know how they have the card number. I tried logging in but kept receiving an error message that my account doesn't exist. I tried paying online as a guest but was prompted for an account/guarantor number - my account number was consistently rejected and I don't know what a guarantor number even is. I did not apply for GoHealth financial assistance so I do not understand why I am even getting emails from them.Business Response

I have been unsuccessful at reaching someone regarding payment to my account. I paid the total balance of my bill on Wednesday, February 5, ******* of February 11, 2025 I am still showing the $244.00 balance. I received a massive bill from this urgent care facility but they did not bill my insurance, and I called my insurance and confirmed they received no claims from them. Ive attempted to contact their billing department every day for the past two weeks and heard nothing back. Their phone lines leave me on hold for over 2 hours with no response. All of their email channels go nowhere, I've emailed them multiple times and heard nothing back. This is frankly fraudulent. They clearly have no billing staff and are uninterested in correcting this issue. I want them to actually send a claim to my insurance provider.Business Response

In early May 2024, I scheduled a virtual visit with GoHealth Urgent Care. I was promoted to pay $210 before the visit. I called customer service to inquire why I needed to pay upfront and was told the health insurance verification system was down. I was assured that I would be refunded, minus my urgent care copay which was $30.After several weeks, I contacted the billing department who claimed that they had yet to receive an explanation of benefits from my insurance company (which is questionable because I had already received a copy on the mail). I called back several times and was assured that my refund of $180 would be sent soon via a check in the mail.When another month had gone by, I contact the billing department again and expressed my frustration. The individual said they would reissue the check and send it express mail. I was promised I would receive it by September 3, 2024 and have yet to receive anything.All I want is a refund of my money as promised. I received a check for $35 that I was informed was for an overpayment from visiting a GoHealth urgent care facility on 1/3/23. When I went to cash the check, it was returned to me by my bank and informed I was charged $15 because the account the check was written from was unable to be located. I called Go Health on 8/15/23. They told me there was a mix up with the bank account (they used the wrong #) and that they would issue me a new check for $50 - the $35 + the $15 bank fee I was charged. I called back on 9/19/23. They told me they would escalate the matter. I called again on 10/9/23 and told the same thing. I called on 12/7/23 and was told that I would have the check within 21 business days. I have yet to receive the check. I want my money that I am due.Business Response
