On July 12, 2023, a technician from Mr. Plumber came out to determine the reason a 2nd floor shower stall was leaking water into our 1st floor closet. After he inspected everything and couldn't find the source, we spent several minutes talking. We eventually found a crack in the shower wall. I had him order a taller stall to accommodate our tall son. The price quoted was $5500 for hauling away the old one and installing the new one. The new 4-panel shower was installed on July 26th. That evening, our son spotted cracks in the top of the main panel, one that extended into the upper bend of the panel not just the ******. I immediately texted the number I used to reach the technician. Since it was after hours, the main office replied. They contacted me the next day and scheduled for a supervisor to come out. The supervisor came out and understood our concern. After going outside and consulting with another supervisor, he came back and declared it was not a problem. I took him at his word, but still had reservations. On Saturday, July 27th, I contacted them again, expressed my dissatisfaction, and demanded they replace the broken panel. On Monday, the Customer Relations Manager texted me and said, "I am ordering another panel, we will call and schedule when I get an ETA from supplier." It has been a full month, and I have not heard a word from them. I called once, and the Customer Relations Manager wouldn't even talk to me. The shower has been unusable for 2 months, and Mr. Plumber is not making any progress on completing the project. We financed the cost of the $5500 project, so they have received payment in full from the lender. They have no incentive to complete the project. My only recourse is to refuse to pay the lender, file complaints, and post reviews on how they treat their customers. Why does it have to be so hard to do the right thing and fulfill your obligations!
