My former landlord is refusing to give me whats owed on my deposit. They actually state that I owe them. I feel these are trumped up charges. I moved into resident , ******************************************************* in 2017. At that time the landlord was Asset Realty . Great Properties, **** and ***************************** became owners and landlord I believe in 2019. I moved from resident on 3/1/2024. I gave 30 day notice. And my daughter, who is also on lease, met with them on 3/3 to return keys and walk thru. *** asked for receipts for damages they claimed. No response. They sent me estimated charges and bill on 3/28. My rent was ******* monthly and deposit was 1600$. I wasnt expecting to get all my deposit back but I feel like I was treated unfair. I have never been late on a rent payment and always paid on time. Great Properties, LLC address I have is P.O Box *****, *********,**.37930. There was no sheet rock damage , just nail hole from hanging pictures which I patched before I moved. The floor painted , my daughter was given permission by Asset to do so. We left trampoline in back yard but we went next day to retrieve and they had taken it, Light bulbs was not missing in rooms. Downstairs did have bulbs missing but there never was any . I actually put 2 in myself. I left a few things behind such as bed frame and end table. But they took ****** cleaning fee plus other charges. I consider most normal wear after 7 years. Toilet paper roll holder was in bathroom drawer. It fell off. Shower door was glass. They repaired once and two days later it fell as I was getting into shower and I cut my foot. I placed it in garage. I really feel cheated because I did all I could to take care of their home. I wouldve removed the small items left behind but I didnt want to pay extra 77$ as she said for each day over. Victoria * ************. I really need to know my options and what I must do. Also the downstairs had mold behind the wall. Wallpaper was crumbling. We heard rain running behind walls .
