Mr ********************** called 3G ************ to move some roof shingle pallets on my property and refuses to pay for the service provided 450$

      Business response

      08/23/2024

We installed 2 roofs for ********,  the first one was at *********************** in ****** ga. This was a synthetic product,  so we ordered her extra materials so if something ever happened she would have materials on hand. We stored those materials at our storage facility for approximately 6 months. And because she loved our work so much, she hired us to put a synthetic roof on her farm at *******************************************************. At this point she became very difficult to do business with, but we continued to deliver high quality work. We ordered extra materials for her on this job as well.

We brought materials from storage and put with materials at farm.

She wanted materials moved 1/4 to the back of her property,  to move them a tractor was needed. She asked us to call her landscapers to move the pallets.

So we did and told her she is responsible for paying the bill.

Now she has not only left the bill unpaid, but is putting the bill off on us.

We usually gladly put a bundle or two left over in the garage or something.

But she had 2 large pallets that needed a tractor to haul through a very rough dirt road.

We even offered to pay half of the move invoice for $225 just to try and meet her half way and put this to bed.

      But she refused. ??

I am rejecting this response because:

      1. 4 pallets with in total more than 4000 roof shingles Mr ********************** left in my frontyard. I can take a photo of all pallets.

i asked him to move those. What should I do with that many shingles? That I all payed for including margin. He mismanaged to order the right amount of roof shingles with just a few left for repair. He called 3GTree service for moving. When he got the invoice he refused to pay.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************************

We did not mismanage the orders.

The extra materials were ordered in her best interest.  These materials are hard to get, it can take up to 6 months to get them. We roofed 2 houses for her. After the first one was completed we stored those materials free of charge for 3 months. Then during install of the second property she asked us to bring the left over materials to the farm. So we paid to have them delivered. Once both jobs were done we wrapped the materials up on the pallets. And they were on the pavement in a parking area where she told us to put them. Then she said she wanted them way back in the ***** . We contacted or distributor to see if they could move them for her. They said their insurance policy would not let them off the pavement.  So we told her she may want to get her landscapers to move the materials with a tractor because of the rough terrain and dirt trails. She have us his number and asked us to coordinate it for her. So we called him and got it done for her. We asked her at the time he was there how she was going to pay? Cash ,check or credit card. That is when she told us to pay. We told her it is not our responsibility to move the materials and pay the $450.

These materials are hers and ordered because she has alot of trees around her property,  and if a tree ever hits the house,  she will have them on hand to make a fast repair.

We are still willing to pay half the cost to take care of this matter in good faith.

      Kindly,

      Mr roofer
