According to information in BBB files, Elite Tax Service, LLC has a pattern of complaint alleging billing or collection issues.
Specifically, consumers claim the company stated the fees were only $199 for tax services. However, consumers were charged a substantial amount over the agreed-upon price ranging from $1500 to nearly $2000. Consumers allege after the company filed the taxes, their refunds were less than expected because Elite Tax Service, LLC deducted unauthorized fees from it. When refunds were requested, the company failed to respond. BBB reached out to the business using the phone number provided. No company name was given when answered, and a statement asking for a pin number was required to proceed further.
BBB also reached out to their property management company, where the company address is located, and was told this is a virtual location and this company has mail client services only. BBB was also informed the company had not been located at this address in over six months.
On April 4, 2023, BBB sent correspondence to Elite Tax Service, LLC to request their voluntary cooperation in resolving the unanswered complaints as well as their cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaint; however, the company failed to respond.
