Date of service is June 3, 2024. The company cut down one tree that had fallen during a storm in *******, ***** and two that were next to it due the condition of these two trees. They charged me $1,908.00. I gave them my Comerica card, and his phone it came up "Card Denied". I should have called my card company, but I didn't. He then asked for another card and I gave him my Chase ***** He charged both accounts. I got emails from both banks asking if this was correct, but the problem was that the storm took out the cable for several days and I didn't get these for a couple of days when the cable came back on. The Comerica card that his phone showed "Card Denied" was not denied. I believe he had his phone set up to show this so he could get another ***** By the time I realized he had charged both accounts, it was too late. I believed Comerica had denied the charge and ***** had also not paid the amount. I called ***** and they told me I needed to get them to come back and run the charge though. I did that and he came back again and charged my ***** card $1900.00 (instead of $1908.00). I believe he did this so there would be a question about the charge, which would make it harder for me to dispute the charge at ********. I have been working with Comerica for 2 months. He showed them a copy of the billed paid by Comerica, so he thought he was okay, but if he knew he had been paid by Comerica, then why did he request a new case (*****). and when I called him to get him to come back and recharge *****, why did he do it, knowing he had already been paid by Comerica. I live in *******, *****, and they are from ******* and I believe they have done this before. Go out of state supposedly to help and for more work, which is what they told me. I paid the $1900.00 and I am working with Comerica on the dispute. I have copies of all the paperwork, and have faxed them to Comerica. But I wanted BBB to know there is a problem with Tree Cutters of America.
