    On Nov. 13, 2023, my husband, ***************************** went to AFC American family care East Cobb ******** *******. When they checked benefits, with ********** Blue Shield preferred PPO, they said we owed $100 co-pay. This is actually inaccurate as I have either a $15 or $35 co-pay for out patient urgent care. I also confirmed this with my insurance multiple times. My husband proceeded to pay the $100 at time of service. The following week, I made contact with the provider and spoke w/ several people which inevitably led me to billing/manager *****, ************. I spoke with her multiple times including 10/20, 10/16, 11/13, 11/30. She finally confirmed with my insurance that I owed a *** of $35 co-pay, if anything. She refunded my credit card on $100 1/11/24 and left me a vm confirming the refund and their error. I called back multiple times to ask if I still owe $15 or $35 with no call back. I thought this issue was finally resolved. Then on statement date 2/21/2024 received 3/2/24, a bill for $266. Ive also spoken to my ********** Blue Shield multiple times and they say the actual claim is still not even been received/submitted and show no claim from this provider as of 3/2/24. So this is fraudulent because they havent even sent the claim in and continue to send me bills stating they processed through insurance. And of course ***** is no longer there. New contact is ******. ***** told me she actually called the insurance and confirmed that I did have a $35 co-pay *** for urgent care with no deductible that is why she originally refunded me. I called her multiple times and left messages to make the $35 copay if needed. When I spoke with them again on 3/3/24 they said I still have a deductible which is untrue. They have no clue how to verify benefits or submit a claim. Theyve been extremely difficult to deal with and no follow up. If she had not confirmed that I did not owe $100 they would not have refunded me and then sent a bill for $266; outrageous. Please help!!
