I am in SHOCK at the level of underhanded blatant deceitfulness that Jackson Hewitt tax services did to a loyal customer for many years, including my time in the military. I trusted them and I got completly scammed. I am a single-filer with a 17 year old dependant. I have one full-time job and that's it! I could have filed my taxes myself but I have always trusted Jackson Hewitt for years to get the most I could get back,. Until now. Jackson Hewitt sent me a advertisments of charging $20 to do my taxes. For a single-filer with one full time job they charged me $530.00. My tax refund was significantly lower than it has ever been. They charged me almost half of my refund for their filng fee and I still never got a refund because the IRS wanted more identification that I had to do myself and Jackson Hewitt never notified me or lifted a finger to notify me that I wasnt going to get a refund until I had to work with the IRS myself to get it straightened out, but they sure took out half of my refund for their filing fees and took my ENTIRE state tax refund for their filing fees. Without notifying me that it came back. I was depending on that money! I am disgusted with what has happended to me because I was a long time customer and I trusted them and now, what little refund I got (Thousands less) Jackson Hewitt has charged me my ENTIRE state refund check that they kept for their filing fee and giving me NONE! I was ripped off of the filing fees in the first place. Why didnt they charge me the $20 they were charging everyone else. I had to do their job for them during the audit. They didnt do anything and they kept my entire refund for their scam filing fee. I really love working all year so I can give Jackson Hewitt all of my money I was depending on. I am disgusted with them and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing that. So I sit here still waiting for my refund because they are incompetant but they got their money and left me with none,
