I hired this contractor to install an in ground pool in February 2021. March 2021 we started the dig, He worked one day a week for 5 weeks and on the last day he requested draw out of contract and filled us with lies about Covid and how he ordered the liner 3 different times. He never ordered and ran off with my money, Im out $36,000. Its now been 15 months and I just paid the new pool builder today to finish my pool. ***** to have to pay twice! This man needs to be shut down because I have found 8 more families that he has done this to.Initial Complaint

I hired Outdoor Oasis Custom Pools and Hardscape to build a pool for me. I fronted $15,000 for materials. They delivered a few pieces of pipe which they later came back and took. They have not started the pool, they will not return my calls, they will not return my moneyInitial Complaint

On July 26, 2021, my husband and I wire transferred $20,000.00 to the outdoor oasis as a deposit to install an in-ground swimming pool. Work was supposed to begin 30 days from the day they received the deposit because they were supposed to order the material, and that's how long it would have taken. The 30days came and went, and all that was delivered to my home was a few pieces of pipe; I reached to inquire about when I could expect to have the work done. At this time, I was told there was an issue with the permit, and I had to wait another 30 days. I started to feel like I was getting taken for a ride, so I called the township to find out if there was any paperwork submitted for a permit at my address and was told no. I reached out to ***** from Outdoor Oasis explain to him that I am not satisfied because all this time has passed and nothing has been done, so I would like to get my deposit back, and he can come and get whatever material that is at my house. He agreed and let me know that I would receive my deposit the following week, this is almost two months later, and the only I have received back from them is $2,000 and a bunch of run around. all I need to happen here is to get the remainder of my money back which is $18,000.00. Signed a contract in Feb 2021 and still no permit has been obtained 6 months later and no work has started. Have asked for deposit back with no success.Customer response

Consumer indicated they have heard from the company, but the issue has not been resolved. Comments follow below:
He emailed me with this exact response: " I guess you really don't want your money now I drag your a** to court make you spend it all that was stupid and you made complaint on wrong company you are contracted llc not custom pools and hardscape thanks it will be removed and I will do the same as you are a buisness make complaint"
I guess what he is referring to is that the contract uses the company name Oudoor Oasis LLC. Maybe that is his little trick?Business response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
He made a partial refund to me, .28% of what he owes me. He told me on September 19, 2021, by text, that he would pay me the remainder by the middle of next week (on September 19th). It is now September 30th and he hasn't made any additional payments.
