I the consumer went to Thunder Tower West on Friday 2/10/23, test rode a 2023 road glide ST. The salesman stated he needed a copy of my drivers license and my signature on a test ride waiver. after we came back from the test ride and sat at the desk to start the application the manager came by and asked what did I think of the test ride and if I had any other questions . I asked does this dealership acknowledge the truth in lending act. The manager stated that the Act is acknowledged nationwide. the salesman asked for my information SSN, address, and so on, then gave me the application for me to sign then asked how much I would give for a down payment I told salesman I didn't want to put anything down he asked again and said it would he hard to get me approved with nothing down then he asked again if I was sure I didn't want put anything down I said no again confirming again that I didn't want to provide a down payment. he then gave the application to the manager and came back to discuss what kind of riding I planned on doing when I got the the road glide ST and then said "and you don't want to put anything down", my answer was no once again and shortly after the manager came over and said that I got denied with nothing down and I would need to put 20 percent down in order to get approved for something that I wasn't even interested in. I said "that's not what I came in here for and,12 CFR ****** (regulation B) (a) says A creditor shall not refuse to ***** an individual account to a credit worthy applicant on the basis of ***, marital status, or any other prohibited basis. which the sales man verified on the computer on the desk. the manager got frustrated and said they didn't care what that says and said this is the information about the truth in lending you asked about, then I repeated the 12 cfr ****** regulation (b) the manager was frustrated and with a raised voice said you were denied. before I left I asked for my application back the manager said NO.
