We had trouble with our thermostat and HVAC unit. Our alarm company was installing a thermostat that was compatible with our alarm system. In the process of installing the equipment, they blew a fuse in our main unit. This occurred on a Saturday. I spoke with Josh Thompson on Sunday and even texted him pictures of the wiring of the thermostat. Everything looked good - he said. Monday he asked me to call Donna Thompson, ********** and the office manager, so she could get us on the schedule. It was Tuesday afternoon before Josh came to the house. He found that a fuse was blown in the main unit for our downstairs. He and later Justin Thompson confirmed that the alarm tech probably did not turn the breaker off which blew the fuse in the unit. After replacing the fuse, Josh came inside and confirmed that the thermostat was in fact wired correctly. He proceeded to install the thermostat for ano to ear unit at our house. When he left everything seemed to be working. A month and half later I received the power bill which 5 times normal. Josh had failed to inspect the thermostat installation closely enough. The heat or air was running 24 hours a day. **** tech helped track the issue to the large HVAC unit. Justin Thompson came to the house. He found that the unit was indeed mis wired. He checked the other thermostat. I contacted **** and they said they could not adjust the power bill that it was what it was. I then proceeded to try to contact Marvin Thompson, the founder of the company, who had done ALL HVAC work at my house since it was built some 30 years ago. He refused to even speak with me. Finally after months of trying to get with him, Justin reached out but still refused to pay for their mistake. I am very disappointed with their treatment of this matter. I would like full reimbursement of wasted power!
