Bath fitter install a new tub an shower an water fixture in my house an fail to keep their promise. on the work that was done in my house. The water in my tub wouldn't shut off an they sent a plumber out to my house the same day to fix the problem an he charge me ****** to fix what bath fitter put in my house that i had to pay when there work is still under warranty. That's what i had to pay the plumber for fixing the problem that bath fitter cause in the first place. By installing a bathtub in my house that is defective. I've been having problem with this bathtub from day1 when they install it in my house. This is the worst company that I've ever done business with. I'll never do business with bath fitter again never ever. an i mean that. And i'm going to tell all my friends not to do business with them. ****************, our team has been out on numerous to correct this issue with the handle. We've replaced the cartridge multiple times at no charge. We agreed to send out *********** but advised that if the issue was not with the product, there would be a charge associated with the service appointment. *********** determined it was not an installation or product issue, but rather your daughter informed *********** that her children have been pulling on the handle. It is our estimation that this was the cause for the recent handle issues. As a result, there is a service charge associated with this recent appointment. We understand your frustration, but we have done our best to correct this issue on several occasions. Please let us know if you need anything else.Initial Complaint

Dear ******************,************** assured me that I would be reimbursed for shower heads that were removed from two jobs against my request and to purchase replacement rain fall heads. ********, ******************************* advised my wife and I that deluxe rainfall heads were to be included in project. I was disappointed with the bottom line heads that were installed. My wife and I I have been very patient with your company and sales personnel in lieu of the extremely long delay awaiting shower enclosure that delayed both jobs.I was advised by your installer that just like other big corporations you decided to find a cheaper replacement for the shower enclosure you were offering, thus the delay. I am only asking that you follow common sense business ethics and fulfill the promise I received from ************** and escalated to ************** who both decided that if I do nothing I will go away. On Oct27th 2021 ********* from Bath Fitter installed a complete shower and tub liner in my hall bathroom. Cost $3442. It took two long days ( bath fitter guaranteed same day). It wasn't installed properly. I called and they sent someone else out to check. They found a problem and reordered a new tub. They sent the same installer to fix although we said not to send him back. He wasn't experienced since, he had to call for help and it took two days into the night both days. BF scheduled ********* to come out said his girl had covid. Rescheduled again and on Dec 1st called to say that ********* didn't come in today and probably won't be back and she will let me know when someone is available. What an inconvenience and let down for the holidays. I would like the entire job redone by an experienced installer. Also, I paid a deposit for my master bathroom to get done however, I would like a refund since they messed up my hall bathroom. The master bathroom cost is *******. I paid $400 deposit on Sept 27th I don't want to take a chance with BF again. This has been a horrible experience for our family. I thought they were a long standing reputable company. I cannot understand. I have caulking that is completely peeling from around the tub and the baseboard of the tub. Remind you that the install is just over a year. The company gives you an lifetime warranty but when calling with an issue you are told that they are a months behind on repairs and no one ever call to get you scheduled for the repairs. I can see where mold and mildew is setting in around the baseboard and tub. This could potential cause some water damage to my subfloor and wall behind the tub lining. I spoke with my homeowners insurance and put them on notice just in case I have to file a claim for water damage. My ins company asked me to document my concerns with BF. I have follow-up via email twice with no response. I don't want something so minor as tub caulking to cause water damage to my interior. My insurance company informed me that if BF was made aware of the water issues and didn't repair in a timely matter which may cause interior damage they have the right to subrogation against BF.Business response

We had Bath Fitter come into our home about 5-7 years ago and redo one of our showers. In the past couple of years, it has come apart from the wall, the floor base has cracked and damaged the subfloor, which in turn has caused our tile floor to come up. This work has a lifetime warranty on it with this company and we've been trying now for over a year to get them to come and fix this problem. They will have to totally redo the shower with all new parts, and they are not getting this done. We call them almost daily and they say they will fix it, but it hasn't been done. We are very unhappy with their customer service and will not use them again or recommend them to anyone until they fix our problem. My husband is home most days and we have company trying to come to visit us but until this problem is repaired, we cannot have company. This has become a real problem in our home as we have a bathroom that is unuseable.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2021/11/05) */ On 9/22/2020, we (Bath Fitter) sent out our contractor to look at the customers floor in the bathroom. It was determined by our contractor that the damage to the floor and sub floor was not caused by Bath Fitter and was pre-existing damage. This was communicated to the customer by Bath Fitter and the contractor. Mr. ******* stated that he would replace the damaged sub floor. We sent out a Installer on 9/24/2021 to remove the molded shower base and Mr. ******* was to remove the existing tile shower and replace the damaged sub floor, once that is completed, Bath Fitter will installed a new Free Standing shower.
