I am not even going to give Precision Door Service of ******* a rating. I had a door garage opener install in 2017. In December 2021, my garage door opening stopped working and I have a one of the home service insurance companies who came to my house for what I thought was an electrical problem that was preventing the door from closing. When the garage door service man came to my home, he couldn't find anything wrong with the door, but discovered that the service person from Precision Door Service of ******* installed the garage door opener, but not the safety sensors which I paid for along with the other items listed on my order (e.g., 1/2 HP AC motor, 2 lights, 2 remote wall buttons, safety sensors). He then told me that whoever installed my garage door did not install the sensors which were the ones that was installed with the old garage opener I had replaced. He told me that if the Precision serviceman did not install them because the garage door worked with the old ones, he should have handed them over to me since I paid for them. After he left, I contact Precision Door Service of ******* and I was told they would contact me and send out a service person. This was on 12/17/20; I contacted them today and was told my warranty was not in effect and I would have to pay $59 for a service person to come out to the house to look at the sensors. I asked her why was I paying for a service call when Precision failed to install the sensors when they put in the new garage opener. The first receptionist quietly disconnected us and when I called back, the second receptionist was very abrupt and connected me to one of their servicemen who was in the field. I am sure they were not happy with me because I let them know that they failed to install the sensors which cost me money because they failed to do their job. When I was arguing with the serviceman on the phone, he called me back and said he was going to cancel the appointment we set up for Thursday (1/6). I told him that I would pursue this matter further because Precision fraudulently took my money and didn't install the sensors which I paid for and which resulted in me having to get someone out to fix the garage door which I thought was broken. I am not sure how many people this has happened to, however this company did not put in the sensors which is one of the most important parts of the garage door opening. I advise people not to use this company; they are not trustworthy and do not stand up to their product. I can easily substantiate this claim because the sensors in my garage are the original ones that were installed when I purchased my home in ****. they are old and battered and they should look new like the garage door opener I purchased in 2017.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear you had issues with communication. We have listened to the recorded calls and spoken to the managers that you spoke with regarding the sensor issues. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, as we are a very reputable company with over **** reviews (96% being 5 star reviews), so we want to uphold our reputation and make sure everyone is satisfied and treated with respect. The sensors should have been changed when your new opener was installed but we have no of knowing they weren't. We were happy to send a technician out to replace them free of charge, and as discussed, we refunded you the $100.00 which was the other company's fee. We're always here to help when needed so please don't hesitate to call.
