    HomeTowne studios has been my residency since October 3rd, 2021 and I am still an occupant. The week of August 15th we had contacted maintenance several times regarding a plumbing issue we we experiencing in room 260. (January of 2021) light work was done but did not stop the leaking from the floor boards for ceiling. August 14th 2022 the ceiling began to swell again. August 16th On day 2 of no plumber I asked the to be moved and the General manager *********************** to please come and see the ceiling was swelling with water and water was gathering under the floor boards. On the *****th the ceiling completely filled and bursting on my belongings. We were moved to room 356. During the two day move we we comped and given a credit (which was undisclosed). When asking the ** for more information regarding the credit, how many days no answer was given because we were paying $15 to 36 daily.August 29th - missed payment (checked out)Between my partner and I a miscommunication was had with paying late. (This has never caused us to be checked out, due in part just on the 24th we were not checked out, nor the 25th or 26th making a late payment.On the August 30th I went in to make my pellet to be told I was checked out. Thus resulting in me now restarting my time and paying Hotel Tax, sales tax etc.I went from paying $***** to $***** daily. As of this submission it has been 14 days at the rate of *****. I asked when did the rate go up and was met with no answer by the front desk agent. Because of my extended time here my rate was much lower as mentioned above *****.I am requesting to be refunded the difference in pay minus the nightly rate of ***** + $20.00 from August 29th when It was unjustified to check me out. This day September 12th, 2022 it has been 14 days paying the rate of a hotel guest.***** x 14 = $1003.24 ***** x 14 = ****** Overpayment = $345.36 Deduct August 29th payment + late fee: ****** Remaining credit: $278.37

    This motel is not suitable for occupancy After going to the room and discovering that it reeked of cigarette smoke, I returned to the front desk where I was told that sometimes people smoke in the rooms and that there are no other rooms available.So I returned to the smoking room, and upon closer inspection, discovered so many dangerous, unhealthy, and unsanitary things wrong with this room, as I documented with photographs. - No TV - No lights by the beds and damaged furniture - No toilet paper (really!), no shampoo, no toiletries, no tissues, no plastic cup.- Broken telephone - Missing appliance - Broken smoke detector - Broken A/C unit (I kept the freezer door open all night to cool the room)- I kept my clothes in the fridge to keep them from smelling like smoke)- Mold on the walls - very unclean room, floors were filthy and bathroom was disgusting.Due to the serious nature of this situation, including health and safety, I contacted Red Roof Inn Corporate (including the **** to advise them of my experience. However, I only received a thank you for letting us know of your concerns response. This hotel should be inspected and condemned.
