I bought a 6x12 enclosed trailer from **** *** in ************ ******* 10 months ago. They sell golf carts and trailers. So I paid $5,000 for this brand new trailer. Yesterday the side door started sagging. I closed it and drove home from a job. While on the interstate someone pulled next to me and said, there is stuff flying off your trailer. I pulled over and saw it was the side door. It just blew off!!! I went back and found it. When I looked at it I noticed the whole door is built with 1-1/2" wood frame with Styrofoam in the middle !!! SO cheaply made. I then saw the bottom piece of wood was dry rotted and that is what failed. I called the **** *** where I bought it and they told me there is a 1 year warranty on the trailer and to call South Georgia Cargo. I called them and spoke to a Theresa and she said to send pictures and I also did a video. I called back to another woman said to me, what is the problem. I asked her if she got the pictures and she said yes but the trailer is out of warranty. I said it is supposed to be 1 year. She told me the year starts when the trailer leaves their place!!! So when **** *** got the trailer from you to sell your product on their lot, that is when the 1 year warranty starts!! She says yup. I told her that is not right! She hung up on me. They DO NOT stand by their products and rip you off with the warranty. Their product failed, the door actually dry rotted and fell apart on the highway. I tried to explain to the woman that if I buy a brand new ford at a car place, the warranty doesn't start when the vehicle leaves the factory. It starts when the customer buys it. I asked her about a replacement door and she said I am not spending $3000 to ship you a door. I just want a door. I have $10,000 in tools in the trailer. I need it for work. ****

I spoke to the customer regarding his trailer and the warranty.  I informed him that the one year warranty starts when the trailer leaves the factory because as a business I can not warranty a trailer that may sit on a dealer's lot for months/years.  The warranty on his trailer expired in September.  I also let him know after he was complaining how the door was made that I do not make the door here that they have shipped to me.  He kept asking how to resolve the problem but I told him that his warranty was still honored for September 2021-Septemeber 2022 even though he never sent his warranty paper in.  Also, after telling him that I was not shipping him a door he started cussing at me and I told him to have a nice day.  Even after he spoke to me inappropriately, I did reach out to the dealer since the dealer was willing to pay for the door I told them that I would pay half on the door.  If he is still going to continue to make this an issue after I don't have to help him since he is outside his one year warranty I will politely decline my offer.

On February 14, 2022 I purchased a new 7 x 16 cargo trailer VIN ***************** from Southern Trailer Depot in ******* ******* for $6,048.00, it had been built by South Georgia Cargo in ******* ******** I inspected the trailer before paying for it and did not see any problems. After leaving the dealership and getting onto I-75, I notice in my side view mirror something flapping on the front of the trailer, so I pulled over and found the Stone Guard panel on the right side had pulled loose. The panel was damaged from flapping in the wind. The top section of the “J” channel trim was completely missing and lost somewhere on the highway. The reason this happened was because there were no screws installed on the top edge of the panel and into the “J” channel trim. I talked to **** at the factory, he said he seen the pictures I sent and would send me a new panel, new “J” trim and matching screws. The panel sent was too short for my trailer! The original was 45 inches long, the new one was 41 inches long so it would not work on my trailer. The “J” channel trim was a different color and completely different than the other trim on the trailer. He did not send the matching screws. “What he sent me was completely useless”! I sent a letter and pictures on May 5th through the USPS as Certified Mail Return Requested. It was signed for by **** *************, who the State of Georgia lists as registered agent for South Georgia Cargo. “I never received a response”! I called and talked to a lady at the company in early July. She hung up on me before I could finish explaining the problem! I called again on July 21st and was able to talk to ****. After explaining the problem, he said he would send me what was needed. “I never received the parts that I was told he would send”! I have always believed that if I try to be courteous and not get upset when dealing with customer service they are more likely to try to correct the problem! But that doesn't work at South Georgia Cargo!

I was under the impression that the material was sent out a second time.  I did reach out to the customer and I let him know that we will be resending the material and that we will also send $200 to help with the inconvenience and his time.  He agreed.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I would like to wait until I have received the parts! After I open the shipment and view what they sent me and if everything is as stated then I will agree to close the complaint!

      Regards,
