On Wednesday, September 13th 2023, I went to the Take 5 located at *******************************************************, approximately around 4:30pm -5:00pm. I went in for a routine oil change as this was my first tie at this location. During the inspection of my 2015 ******** the ***** lady assisting the oil change informed me that my skid plate was was having some difficulty coming loose and the ***** man was going to have someone assist him. Soon after, she returned she stating that my car was large for bins and that due to this issue it would be a risk to take my skid plate off and for this reason they would not be able to perform the oil the oil change, le me also note she was extremely polite and professional. The other ***** man who came to assist to assist did come to speak to me and explain the situation and stated that they did not want to break the skid plate and there was not enough room to remove it properly. he was also very professional and very kind. The ***** lady offered to check all my fluids and even showed me what my oil looked like, it was dark but not horrible, but it was time to be changed. The ***** lady guided me out and I left. I live right around the corner from the location so I headed home. The next day I headed I head to work and as I hit speeds up the 45 mph I noticed a very harsh knocking sound, me not thinking of the skid plate, I was afraid that it may have been the oil since I never did get it changed and it was time. After work I stopped by a gas station a grabbed a quart of oil thinking it would help. After putting the oil in my car, I was on the way home and hit a dip in the road and part of my skid plate flew off!! The car behind behind me swerved to keep from hitting it ! I spoke to the manager ***** who viewed the taper and confirmed the ***** man was responsible for the damages, however I still do not have the skid plate to this this day after several conversations and promises. This is not acceptable and my car is left venerable.
