On 5/31/2024 we paid a $50 deposit to rent a jetski for the day. We showed up on 6/1 and we left after waiting 3 hours for them to "fix" the jetski just to get it running. The guy told us to let him know another day and he'd bring a better running jetski. We set a date for 6/8 to try again. ****** ****** arrived and the jetski still didn't work after he fixed them for 3 hrs while we stood waiting. We were on them for 20mins and they stopped working out in the water on us. We got them back to the dock and it was another 2 hrs we stood while they tried to fix the jetski. We told ****** at this point we were on the jetskis for 20mins out of the whole day (we rented both of them for the day) we just wanted a refund and he could keep the deposit. He said yes but that he only had $125 in cash (he owes us $350 total) and that he would get us the rest ($225) later on that day once he could get to the ATM. 3 hours go by and we call him he said to give him until 8:30pm at the docks so we agreed and showed back up to the docks at 8pm. At this point he told his partner to call the cops as we were harassing him and he wasn't giving us nothing else back. The police came out and he told them he had a ton of cash at his house but nothing in his bank to refund us through ******* (the opposite of what he had told us). The cops had him fill out a paper with his name and how much he owed us and the date of 6/8/2024 and it states that he would pay us within 72 hrs (which means the deadline was 10pm 6/11). He has blocked us on everything so we can't warn others and he still hasn't refunded us the rest of our money. The cops said this wasn't even the first time they've had to come out for him running his scams. He brings non working equipment out and gets the money then when the equipment doesn't work he doesn't want to give any money back or from what we have found out from others he did this to he says that they broke his equipment and keeps their money. They are running a scam here.
