On 12/8/21 I ordered a ring for my wife from Brody Jewelers. I paid one half the purchase price of $375 on the same day and was told the ring would be in the store on 12/28/21. On 12/23/21 I went by the store to make sure all was well with my order. Mr. Brody called someone and said all was well and the ring should still arrive by the 28th or possible the 29th. I called the store on the 29th and was told by Elizabeth that the ring had not arrived and that they would call if it came in. I did not hear from them so I called the store on 12/31/21 and was told by Elizabeth the ring still had not arrived. She said she did not know when it would be in and added that once it does come in that there would be a further delay because they would still have to set the stones in the ring. Something that had not been mentioned or even considered before. At that point, I asked for a refund of my up front money ($375) that I had paid for the ring. She said she could not do that because it was a custom order. I asked her to consider why I no longer have confidence in them, but she still would not consider refunding my initial deposit which is where the dispute still stands. They have not called back to try and give me any other options and apparently plan on keeping my deposit.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2022/01/13) */ This complaint has been resolved now as of 1/13/22. The store owner called me and was very gracious in making things right with this transaction and I would like to clear his business from my previous complaint. Thank you **********
