My vehicle payment comes due on the *** of every month, and all accounts are given a ** day grace period. Texts and phone calls to the level of harassment start the day that the payment becomes due. I attempted to make a payment today, ********** within the ** day grace period and I receive an error code every time (errors.account.do_not_contact) I have not answered any calls from this agency, because they are unending and call at all times of day, no matter what. I would like my account unlocked, I would like to be able to make my payment without penalty, and I would like to stop getting calls from the agency.Business response

I overpaid the company to go toward principle and faster payoff of vehicle. Calling to get verification of amount of car payment, i was told how payment is being broken down and they were taking portions of the overpayment because they didn't have proof of insurance. I wasn't informed they would be taking part of the over payment because no proof of insurance had been provided. After providing proof of insurance i was told they would not return monies and refuse to allow monies that have been taken to go toward car payment and principle, I request communication with a higher up. Office manager was his title and he is rude and unprofessional. He said he didn't review my information so I asked him how he made a determination without, he cut me off.Business response

Customer had been sent notifications about there being no proof of insurance on file and did not respond to the notices. On page 3 of her contract it provides: "If you do not obtain and maintain the insurance required by this contract and do not continue to provide satisfactory proof of insurance (emphasis added) we will consider this contract in default. We may, at our option, repossess the vehicle, purchase insurance at your expense, or pursue any other remedy provided for in this contract."
Customer was referred to management whom, at the time, had not reviewed her account. After review of the call, it is evident that the customer was upset and not allowing the manager to speak. The fees total $140 (2 months at $70 per month.) She is no longer being charged the amount because she has provided adequate proof of insurance.Customer response

I make my car payments and I have not been without car insurance. At the time of the request I just wanted to add the money back to my account. The office manager was nasty and he lied.

i had an auto loan with road Auto Finance ( 5710 Ogeechee Rd #200-320, Savannah, GA 31405 (912) 234-8066. I was in An accident ant the car was a total loss. i had Gap insurance. My auto insurance company paid for the value of the car and there was 311 left which the gap is suppose to cover. i was hit with a late payment on my credit report 2 months after the accident. i called and was told that Gap claim was filed and they where waiting payment. I made the payment myself because i wa told i would get reimbursed. thw weeks paased, i called the Gap insurance company ****** ******** PO BOX ****** *********** ** ****** ************. i spoke to gap department Kevin Ray and he informed me that my Gap was Canclled by road auto finance on May 24 and that no claim was ever submitted. and he also informed me that they couldnt do that so my question was why did you allow this to happen, i paid 899 for the Gap insurance when i purshed the car .Customer response

i would like my refundBusiness response

Customer doesn't like the time that it takes to process a GAP claim through our GAP supplier. The cancellation was sent in back in May of 2023 and the company is just now sending the funds and the customer will received ******* as a refund. GAP would have only covered $******* whereas a cancellation would have been *******, thus a cancellation is preferable to filing a GAP claim. While we can certainly sympathize with the customer on how long it takes to process this claim, this is not the fault of ROAD Auto Finance. In summation, he will actually make more money through cancellation and it is regrettable that it takes so long for the GAP supplier to refund its cancellation. Customer should have his refund by now.
