I bought my car from them March 5, 2023 and put ***** down on the payment. Once I drove off the lot I was experiencing problems with my car and my wheel would shake while I stop on my breaks . I then Took it to a shop and they told me I need a tune up , breaks , rotors , my steering wheel doesnt lock up once I turn off my car , now my car smokes from under the hood , all they are saying they doesnt fix or fall under my warranty I had 3 people pull up at the dealer shop the same time experiencing the same issues With they car , I also Have recordingsBusiness response

We offered to repair the vehicle under warranty. When the customer expressed displeasured with the warranty coverage, we offered the customer the option to return the vehicle and refund the down payment.Initial Complaint

I FINANCED A 2010 ***** MALIBU FROM THEM FOR ONLY 5 MONTHS IN WHICH THE *** HAD ALOT OF ISSUES. I FIXED THE MAJORITY OF THE ISSUES UNTIL THE COST GOT HIGHER IN WHICH I COMMUNICATED THAT WITH THE LOAN OFFICER THE WHOLE TIME WHILE ASKING IF THEY CAN SWITCH ME OUT OF THAT *** AND INTO ANOTHER ONE. I DID NOT MIND PAYING ANY DOWN PAYMENTS OR ANY EXTRA MONEY NEEDED BUT THEY REFUSED TO ASSIST ME. ON THE LAST WEEK OF DECEMBER, I ADVISED THEM THAT I WILL COME TO DROP THE *** OFF AS A VOLINTARY. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE *** WAS REPOSSESSED AND UPON TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH ***************************** HE ADVISED THAT THE LOAN WILL STAY OPEN AND HE REFUSES TO CLOSE IT UNTIL I PAY $7,000 DOLLARS FOR THE *** THEY JUST REPOSSESSED. I ASKED HIM MULTIPLE TIMES TO JUST PUT A REPO ON THE LOAN SO TO IT CAN BE CLOSED SO I CAN PURCHASE ANOTHER *** IN WHICH HE CONTINUED TO BE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TELLING ME THAT HE WILL NOT CLOSE THE LOAN AND THAT I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET ANOTHER *** UNLESS I PAY THE $7,000 DOLLARS. IN THIS CONCLUSION, I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TALK TO A LAWYER ON THIS MATTER. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ANY CUSTOMER SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS TYPE OF MANNER.Business response

AutoStar Acceptance sends an update to the credit reporting agencies on a monthly basis. Since the vehicle was repossessed in December, when the credit file was updated in January, we reported the account as repossessed. Once the 10 day right of redemption expired, we disposed of the vehicle at auction. The proceeds from the auction were then applied to the account and the remaining balance was charged off and the account closed (this happened in January). When we submitted credit file in early February, the customer's account was reported as closed. I personally spoke with the customer on 2/9/22 and explained the process and a timing of reporting the the credit bureaus. .
