On 6/15/24, I contracted with Mystic Relief & Construction/************************* to complete work on a damaged fence at my residence. I paid a deposit of $1205 via check ($250 on 4/10/24) and the $955 via QuickBooks invoice on 6/15/24. Work was scheduled for 6/20/24 at 1200. No one showed up. I began calling ***************** at 1230 to see where he was. I continued calling with no response until 1830 when I emailed *****************. He responded on 6/21/24 stating his subcontractor was at fault and that he would like to reschedule the work. I attempted to contact him multiple times for a date/time to complete the work with no response. On 7/1/24, I requested a full refund of the monies paid since there was no contact or efforts to reschedule the work. ***************** agreed to the refund via email on 7/2/24 stating the funds would be returned by Friday 7/5/24.I have not received the funds nor have I been able to reach ***************** via phone, text, or email despite multiple attempts. Given the complete lack of communication and Mr ******** action, I believe has defrauded me of my money and had no intention of ever repairing the fence nor refunding my deposit. I want a full refund plus interest and reimbursement for my time.
