      Account Number ******** My wife ***************** discussed in advance our son's visit ********************* with ************** prior to our son's visit on June 28, 2023, my wife was given an estimate of $350.00 over the phone before she and my son arrived for the visit ( private pay) . My son ********************* completed the visit on June 28, 2023 as planned. My wife was prepared to pay the $350.00 estimate that was agreed upon but No One at the front desk collected the payment from her before she and my son left the office after completing the visit . After about a month later we received a bill for $644.00. The bill was addressed to me *********************** (the father) , at that time I presented the bill to my wife out of confusion because I had just completed paying off a billing agreement from last year's visit that my son had with ************* last year 2022.. They indicated that they had emailed my wife but they are mailing the bill to me. I see this as simply taking advantage of their patients. Over the last 3 years that my son has been under ***************** care I have spend over $15,000 out of pocket copays and now they are trying to rip my family off by jacking up this private paid amount agreed on of $350.00 to $644.00 .       CHOA sent my balance of $322.36 to collections with *****************************, **** Reference: 51238020.Account numbers *********, *********, ********* I have two insurance coverages for my child and both are Blue Choice PPO, so I have excellent insurance. My wife and I pay our bills every month and on time. i am appalled that during this time of illness with my daughter that CHOA would send the minute amount of $322.36 to collections without ever calling me. I have never spoken to anyone about this **** being past due - . We have additional doctors appointments to go though. How heartless and rude and inconsiderate could a hospital be? One that brags about being kid and family friendly? No, CHOA is heartless and aggressive without giving a parent, who is going through a tough struggle with a child, the courtesy of calling before aggressively sending a past due **** to collections.

      Good morning, 

      Several attempts were made in calling the parents. Calls we made yesterday afternoon (6/20), and twice last week (6/14, 6/15). A voice message we left on Dad's phone, unable to leave a message on Mom's voicemail, it was full.

      I started reaching out to this office in Nov/Dec of 2021 for the possible treatment of my daughter's birth **** on her shoulder, and I have been requesting to see Dr. ***************************** (who was referred by other Doctors for us) all the time. But the scheduler in the office assigned us to see a different Doctor, which I was totally unaware of! I thought Dr. ***************************** was the only Doctor for pediatric surgery in that office. After seeing the different Doctor, I still keep contacting them for seeing Dr. ****************************** but the scheduler still tried to schedule our treatment with the other Doctor we saw. After I insisted and pointed out the mistake they made (for us to see a different Doctor), finally we made an appt with Dr. ***************************** for consultation on 04/21 (4-5 months has passed since we initially contacted them!). Dr. ***************************** recommended do the treatment at the beginning of school summer break (end of May or early June), so that my daughter would have enough time to recovery from the surgery (8-9 weeks) before the school starts in Aug. But again the scheduler scheduled our treatment on 07/13, which we won't have enough time to recover at all!Overall, a very unpleasant experience with this office! The scheduler seemed very upset and impatient about our 'changing Doctor', which was totally their fault! They never offered an apology on their mistake or an opportunity to correct their mistake! This office is completely corrupted by the scheduler! Very disappointed!

      This complaint was filed against the wrong business.  The patient referenced in this complaint is not a patient of this business, Atlanta Plastic Surgery, PC.  The patient in question is a patient of Children's ***************** Pediatric Plastic Surgery and ************ Services, which is a part of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  This complaint should be forwarded to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and they will respond on behalf of their pediatric plastic surgeons, ******************** and **********************.  I understand the confusion, as both of these separate medical practices do share an office space.  However, the adult plastic surgery practice of Atlanta Plastic Surgery, PC has no record of this patient and is therefore is unable to respond to this complaint.
