When my mother died this past October, we asked ******************************************************** to do the memorial service. The funeral director, ***********************, met with us the day after my mom's death and the memorial was set for nearly two weeks later. Faith was expected to submit the obituary to the local paper by the deadline, a week after our initial meeting. She failed to do that, saying that her son had unexpectedly come to town and she was too busy. As a result, many people did not know when and where the memorial service was. Then, four days before the service, we realized that she had not called any of the ushers and asked if they would be able to attend the memorial service. Finally, two days before the memorial, she called me to ask if I had a box for the cremation urn. I had been under the impression that ******************************************************** would provide that, or at least give me some notice if that was something I was expected to take care of. My mom's urn ended up being buried in the cardboard box it came in from the manufacturer. Faith's handling of my mother's memorial service and the days leading up to it made the whole situation much more stressful than it needed to be. Very unprofessional.
