Went into car lot wanting to find a vehicle to pay cash. Didn’t have anything I liked. Salesman suggested financing , which I didn’t want to do, but I said I’d look. I had a few reapproval letter from ******* *** **** *********. The salesman said I was in the system. I gave him so info so he could run payment info. He said he’d be right back. The letter I had said there would be NO Hard Inquiry. While I was waiting on him to come back, I started get notifications from ****** ***** on hard inquires. By the time I could find my salesman he was in an office with 2 other guys running my credit. I never gave permission to run my credit. I have worked ** *** *** after 2 ******** to build my credit. Had just gotten it back up to ***, and now this. He said he was trying to get me a better rate. I told him I never gave him permission to run my credit, and if that’s what he wanted to do he should have asked me. I am furious.

My mom and I purchased a 2019 *** ****** back in *** 2023. On the surface everything seemed to be ok, even though the price was about $10k over book value. Fast forward to ****** 2023, I decide the ****** is too much on gas. So we go to Budget again to attempt a trade in. Drew runs the paperwork and comes back to say it's too soon to trade in. Well, we decided to get a second opinion and went to *****. ***** ran everything and was going to approve us for a new car, until the ******'s history report came back. They use ******** ********* Reports, which said my ****** had been in a severe accident with structural damage in ***** 2023. This damage was reported by the auction. Auctions don't repair cars, they just sell them to the highest bidder as-is. ***** told us that a vehicle with previous structural damage CAN'T BE TRADED! They also told us that had ****** bank (our financer) seen that previous damage, they never would have approved the loan in the first place. Our next stop was ****** bank, because at this point it would seem that someone dropped the ball somewhere along the way when we made the ****** purchase. After reviewing everything with ******, confirmed that had they been informed of the previous damage they would not have approved the loan request. SO...if the ***** report showed previous structural damage, how did Budget submit the loan request and a report NOT showing any damage? We called Drew at Budget on speaker phone with the ****** reps. When confronted about this issue, he kept claiming they use ******, not ********. Well, ******** isn't going to report false information on a vehicle report. OR Budget is not telling the truth. Something is amiss somewhere, and you would think Budget would want to do right by their customers. When asked what we need to do to make this right, Drew said something along the lines of "Well the contract is signed so as far as I'm concerned we're done." CLICK! He actually HUNG UP ON US in front of the ****** bank reps!

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The customer name on the purchase is ***** ******* my mother, who made the purchase on my behalf. We were both present when the purchase was made. She has authorized me to submit this complaint on her behalf as I am directly involved with this matter. Her authorization has been verified by the BBB via phone call.

Regardless, the vehicle in question is the same, and the vin number to said vehicle was provided in the initial complain via the ******** ********* Report that was uploaded. So the business is well aware of which transaction we are complaining about.

      Sincerely,

      ******* *****

The consumer states that the business is trying to sell him a vehicle that has over 5,000 of repairs needed. The consumer would like for the business to come pick up their vehicle from his yard ********** and return his keys to the vehicle ****** ******* that he was going to use as a trade in. he wants the contract with the finance company cancelled.
