My son was inappropriately ejected from a ********* Driving Class by a substitute teacher along with another boy for talking one minute after class started. Other boys were forced to clean the facility for talking. The teacher did not follow policy, did not teach from the required GA DOT book and allowed kids to cheat in groups on the state driving test. She also gave them all a free 100 on the ******'s law required ************** test. I paid $535 for this class. My son took 15 of the 30 hours before being kicked out. They are refusing to let him finish or give me a refund.(1) Behavior Policy: The policy in the contract we signed was not followed. I did not receive any phone call noting that my son was in danger of being kicked out of the class. Policy reads: Classroom decorum is expected of all participants. This includes proper behavior, respect for the teacher, other students, classroom equipment, and other property. Students not able to maintain acceptable standards will first receive a verbal warning, followed by a telephone call to parents. Continued unacceptable behavior can result in a student being terminated from the program with no refund of tuition. Fortunately, disruptive situations have been extremely rare and this policy is explained to advise parents and students in advance. If you have any questions or any special circumstances, kindly discuss the specifics with the classroom teacher or contact our office so we can get the information to the in-car instructor. We look forward to providing a quality program to your student that will be of value for their entire driving career.(2) Inaccurate Instruction: SUBSTITUTE TEACHER told kids she did not teach by the book and would not use it. She covered inappropriate topics that are not covered by the state of Georgia. She allowed the kids in the class to complete the ***** TEST in groups and using their phones. She gave a free 100 on the ******'s Law ************** test required to get a license.

After reviewing the class records for both students, and talking with the teacher assigned to the second weekend class (both the teachers assigned to the first session and the second session are licensed by the ****************** of ****** Services to teach both classroom and in-car driver education; both teachers are licensed by the ******* ********** of ********* as certified teachers; both teachers are currently "public school" teachers employed by separate school districts, and both teachers are familiar with current teaching practices, and both teachers have approximately 10 years of teaching in the public schools in the state of Georgia) I called the mother of the student filing the complaint and via conference call with the teacher, listened to her complaints. She was completely inaccurate, to be polite, in her description of the events as described in her complaint to the BBB. This student was warned by the initial first weekend teacher and the parent was advised of his serious behavior problems. The misbehavior and actions of the student increased during the beginning of the second weekend class and the student was advised to call his parent because his behavior could no longer be tolerated by the teacher. The parent initially paid for 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of in-car training (traditional driver education package) and when she was advised that we could not provide the 6 hours of in-car training immediately upon completion of the classroom portion, she withdrew the student, with full refund the day before the class began. She then paid $135.00 for the classroom portion only. Each parent upon enrollment (and she did) receive a 'Dear Parent" letter outlining the expectations of the program, including a clear description of the process we follow (and have followed since ****) with respect to a student's behavior and participation. This student refused and actually laughed at the teacher, disrupting the class each time he refused to comply with normal decorum, before he was asked to leave. We stand by our decision to expel the student.
