On December 27, 2021 I went to Mattress Firm and spoke with ********. I selected a Tempur Ergo 2.0 Adjustable Base. Before making the purchase I specifically asked her about the option to get a headboard and footboard because I was looking at getting one with drawers. She told me that I could not get the drawers for the bed I selected because of the way it adjusts. I then asked her if there is anything that I could get to go around the bottom of the bed because I have small dogs and I don't want them crawling under the bed and getting caught in anything. She informed me that I didn't have anything to worry about because the bottom of the bed could be adjusted to be as low or as high as I needed it and that that wires would be securely tucked away. I asked her if she was sure because my dogs are extremely expensive and a vet **** is not something that I wanted to have to deal with. She assured me again that it would be fine. When the bed arrived, I asked the men if the bed could be lowered some more and they informed me that it was as low as it could go. A few months later, I realized that the black pieces that I had been picking up were from my dog chewing the wires that were not secure under the bed. Most of the wires were held together with bread ties and were not tucked away. Recently, my dog got stuck in the loop of a wire, which thankfully wasn't around his neck. It took some time but I was able to get him out. I immediately emailed Mattress Firm on May 8, 2022. I received an email on May 9th stating that someone would get back to me in 1-2 business days. On May 12th I sent an email stating that no one had gotten back with me. On that same day I was told to wait an additional 1-2 business days. Friday May 13th I received a call from ****** telling me that she would look to see what base they had in stock and get back to me on Monday. She has not called me back and I have called and left several messages. When I email them they tell me to call the store.
