I purchased a car from ***'s used car LLC at ************************************* in march and soon as I left the lot it ran hot I have been asking for my money back the car as numerous issues and they refused to obey the lemon law or do anything about this in the first 30 days and my car is still not working.Business response

We here at Jay's Used Cars LLC take our customer service very serious. It is clearly a plot for ***************** to not give you the whole story about **** used cars helping her getting any type of repair that we assisted her with. *************** forgot to inform you that we had her car serviced when she purchased it in March 8,2024. She took her vehicle 2 weeks ago to a mechanic shop and had some work performed on it and *************** was not happy with the prices that THEY CHARGED HER SO JAYS USED CARS NOT ONLY PAID THE BALANCE BUY ASSITED HER WITH THE MECHANIC SHOP ON COMPLETING THE WORK THAT WAS PERFORMED THE CORRECT WAY. *************** purchased a used car and we have not heard anything from her until march. We did not and still will help *************** in any way that we can. But Calling cursing and ********* will not get to the bottom of anything. We have respected **************** from day 1 all we ask is respect the Dealership as well. If she would go and take her vehicle to a certified mechanic shop we will surely try to direct her in the rite direction on any repairs that need to be done.Thanks!!!Initial Complaint

Brought a car two weeks ago from today 3/2024 , drove the car four days the check engine light came on. Took the car to the part store Catilyic converter , exhaust manifold. Took the car to **** auto sales he swear he would fix it while I was signing my paper work . Came back within 30 mins and told me its fix , I knew it was a lie because Id just got the check engine light checked and it was an issue that takes at least 2/3 hours to fix . I trusted them and took his word . Few days later my check engine light is flashing , my car complete slowed down on a major highway always costing harm to my self and others! I reach out to **** auto today at 10:00am Im still waiting on the boss to call me back . Its @2:11 pm no one has called me back yet! They are selling lemons that will only last until you sign for this carInitial Complaint

In February of 2023, I purchased a vehicle from ************** in ******, *******. About thirty days later I started having problems with the vehicle and it was brought to my knowledge the vehicle was sold to me but had been damaged by water. The dealer failed to disclose this to me at the time of sale nor did he disclose any other history.I have invested over $12,000.00 to dealer and additional fees for repairs. I am seeking repairs and reimbursement in this regard. I do have proof of this but I am a truck driver and Dont currently have it in my possession.Initial Complaint

Upon purchasing the car I asked for a car facts and never received it. The company sold me a car that had issues. They told me and the finances company that they will fix the car. The check engine light was on in the car and when i took it back to get fit they only fixed the *** I told them of the issue still being on and they reported to me that it was only a sensor issue. The car had 3 lug nuts on the tire and the tire end up coming off while driving causing $3,000 in damages. **** used auto claimed to fix the alignment but its still swaying to the side which is almost causing wrecks. The car is very dangerous. Now the car slows down when taking off. Sometimes it shuts off in the middle of the road. It also shakes very bad from the engine when I hit brakes. I only had the car almost 5 months and 1 month in this time it was in the shop. I really need help bc I really need a car in order to get to work as well as doctors appointments.Business response

Just wanted to say forgive me for the delay on this response. When you returned the vehicle for the mirror and the ** we fixed both of those repairs for you. At that time you never report anything about lug nuts or anything else for that matter. The confusion I am having right now is you posted both a photo of a car on the ground this is not the car we sold you. The photo is a gray car and we sold you a white car. Then we have what appears to be a total loss for what vehicle I am unsure. The things you stated needed repaired we repaired.Initial Complaint

I recently bought a car 30 days ago, and the car is in a parking lot not able to start, the car has had several problems within a 30 day period, I put **** dollars down on the 2013 ******* and they refuse to fix anything , I was told I would have to fix all the repairs but was told I had a 30 day warranty Well Ive only had the car for 30 days and Ive been complaining to them every since I got it, I just want my **** dollars back and they can have the car back.Business response

I purchased a 2012 ****** Maxima from ***** used Cars on 09/22/2021 it was financed with Us Auto Credit. The car had a 30 day warranty on the engine and transmission. Within the 30 day period the car's engine light came on the car begun running hot due to a blown head gasket. Clouds of white smoke comes out the the exhaust pipe which is an indicator of a blown head gasket. Mrs. **** who works for ***** Used Auto told me in person that the vehicle is under warranty and for me to take it to a mechanic that I choose have the car looked at if its the engine they will replace it. The only thing ***** used car fixed was replaced the radiator hose the car is non functional and they refuse to honor the warranty and fix the car. I have no transportation to work nor a way to get my son to school. The owner tried to fight at his place of business along with threating me bodily harm just because I came up there to see how are we going to handle this situation. I'm in contact with getting help from a lawyer for auto fraud. Also attahced with the docments is the work I had done on the car to prove that the engine is bad sense I bought the car. All the repairs that were made are things that could cause a car to overheat. I have a video with a mechanic stating the car has a bad engine after he made repairs on the car.Business response

I would like to take this time to apologies to you for the lack of communication that you had with the dealership. I would also like to apologies for the delay in addressing this complaint. I do hope that things worked out in your favor. Due to the time gap in this complaint I can not fully address your issues I do however hope everything worked out for you. It is not in the practice of Jay's Used Cars LLC to not do what we can to right the wrong that *** or *** not have been done. We have been in business over 20 years and this is not normal practice. I bought a used vehicle from Jays Used Cars and the car is a lemon. I have vehicle service records that shows I have had mechanical issues with the vehicle since first purchasing it. The vehicle had transmission and other issues. Furthermore, pricing was not consistent with what was presented on paperwork and website.Business response

I purchased a vehicle in may and it took a month for them to finish paperwork and get me vehicle after they had me put insurance on vehicle. I finally got vehicle and first day had purchase two tires because tires had over five nails in them. Second week driving vehicle air goes out takes company three weeks get me in to fix it. I left note of all issues wrong with vehicle yet they only fixed air the check engine light is on and the vehicle was in am accident where the right headlight doesn't work or blinker it's a wiring issue the whole front end doesn't belong on this car and the dealership refuses to fix or help me resolve problem it's been one month and I still have yet to get assistance. They have sold me a faulty vehicle where right head light and blinker doesn't work. I asked for my money back and they have yet to address the issue. This company takes advantage of vuluranble people and people in need that have financial issue they need be closed doenCustomer response

Please forgive the delay in my response. When the vehicle was returned to the dealership we addressed the issues that you called in initially about an then we also provided you with an extended warranty when you initially purchased the vehicle. All of our vehicles come with a 30 day **** mile warranty with the dealership that covers the engine and transmission and in addition you also had the extended warranty. I do hope that any other issues you had with your vehicle was covered under your extended warranty. We did fix the repairs that we covered under our warranty. You did purchase a used car so we insured you had a warranty for things that my have come up along the way.Customer response

This is inaccurate, although the car was brought back to repair after purchase. The dealership DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE WARRANTY THEY GAVE DID NOT COVER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REPAIR. I Contacted them because after driving off of the lot the check engine light came back on. I also let them know that the right passenger light did Not work which ment I was sold an unsafe vehicle to put on the road. I have the receipt fr the repair done and IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY WORK THAT I REQUESTED REPAIRED. THEY FIXED AIR. ALSO IN RECEIPT IT ALSO STATES MANY PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE. THIS WAS FROM THE REPAIR SHOP THEY CHOSE. I ALSO HAVE RECEIPT WHERE I WENT TO TRY GET A TAG AND COULDN'T BECAUSE THE SAME CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND I ALSO PAID FOUR HUNDRED DOLLAR FOR THE REPAIR OF THE **** ENGINE FLOW VALVE WHICH WAS CODE FROM EMMISON CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL WAS ON. I HAD *** SITTING UP FOR MONTH AND STILL COULDN'T GET REPAIR DONE TO GET A TAG. ALL WHILE STILL PAYING FOR VEHICLE. I ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THE *** HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT PREVIOUSLY BF PURCHASE AND I WAS SOLD A *** WITH A BUMPER THAT DIDN'T EVEN FIT FOR THE ***. I HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS EMMISONS TEST LETTERS WRITTEN AND RECEIPT I. ASKING FOR ALL FUNDS I PUT INTO THE *** AND ALL PAYMENTS PLUS DOWN PAYMENT BACK AS THE *** IS NOW BACK IN THEIR POSSESSION AND THEY HAVE RESOLD IT. THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY SOLD THE SAME *** TO SOMEONE ELSE AND RE GAINED POSSESSION AND THEN SOLD TO ME. YOU MAY VIEW THEY WEBSITE THIS COMPANY TAKES ALOT OF HARD EARNED FUNDS FROM WORKING CLASS PEOPLE
