Deja Vu Home Furnishings in ******, **, has taken a significant amount of my furnishings, and I am at a loss as to how to proceed. I was solicited by this company on January 23, 2022 via ********* The agreement was that they (as a consignment store) would pick up the furniture and then come up with prices to sell them at, and if I didn't agree with prices they would return the items to me at no cost. I was told that they would NOT give the items to charity after 90 days of being in the store, which is their normal policy, because I had such a large inventory to sell through their services. They picked up numerous items in a large truck using their regular movers/employees and have since returned some other items in another truck using different movers from a rehab facility. Their lack of keeping accurate inventory on the status of my items, along with using two different groups of movers has made it difficult to near impossible to verify what items are still in the store and what items are unaccounted for. Numerous items moved by the second group of movers were returned to me damaged, clearly from lack of packing it properly. After discovering that items had been sold for much less than agreed upon, I had requested that they stop selling and return the remaining items. They have since communicated that they are STILL selling some of my items and still at a less than agreed upon price. I have received checks for incorrect amounts, and when I have requested an update on items and their locations, the information I receive from them is very vague, incorrect, and near impossible to decipher. The price negotiations were back and forth, several very expensive pieces were sold for way below what was agreed upon, and they are also saying they have returned some items and they have not, and some pieces have not even been added to their official inventory. The account number they use for my account is ****. I have since found Yelp reviews with others having similar troubles.
