This is hard for us, because we do not like leaving bad reviews. We contacted Chastain in February 2023. We wanted to make sure all gutter, soffit, bird boxes, frieze boards, *****, gables, and flashing and decking damage was addressed, we kept going back and for forth for a couple months, due to the contract not stating the exact measurements (gutter, soffit, fascia, CDX, ***, Flashing etc) of what we needed it to state as far as measurements of what is covered (so not to have to pay big fees on the back end), and the CDX for the main and the *** for the garage. We were thorough in our expectations and we sat down on April 12,2023, and we signed a contract with what we thought was all the expectations. During the meeting, we asked if we needed to get a dumpster and they said no, then after signing the contract, they told us we needed a dumpster, which is weird, because the cost should have included a dumpster. We went and paid for a dumpster that same day to be delivered and it was. Then we noticed the contract we signed did not have all expectations on it,( the measurements for soffit/gutter/freize/fascia and other were incorrect) The roof was scheduled for April 20, 2023 and Chastain called on April 19,2023 and said they were going to get *** only for all, we said no, CDX for main and *** for the other, we have been telling them for months about our expectations and most were on the contract and some not on the contract as we thought. On April 19, 2023 we were sent a text 1:12pm "I'm cancelling your job! I do apologize. Good luck picking another contractor. Will have my materials picked up by tomorrow". Chastain cancelled our roof the day before it was going to be installed. What a punch in the gut, we were hit by tornado and trying to fix our house and CDX for main and *** for garage was in the contract and we are out the dumpster fee. We want an apology for this and hope it never happens again to anyone. This truly shook our faith in the trades.
