I received an estimate from ******* to deep clean a rental house for $600. She later changed the price to $1,500, stating that the house was more work than she realized. I agreed to the revised amount because I needed the house cleaned right away and she promised that everything would be thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom including fans, appliances, windows, etc., and she would do her best to eliminate any pet odors. She said if the realtor had any issues with her cleaning, that she would come back and “make things right.” ******* completed the cleaning by 1:30 p.m. on 8/15/23. I asked her how she finished so early if the house was that bad and she said she just brought more people. She assured me that the house was “sparkling clean” and wanted the bill paid immediately. I’m out of state, so could not check her work personally but was concerned by how quickly it had been completed. I requested the 10% military discount she offered when I first spoke with her, so paid $1,350. My realtor, *** ******, took photos and video after the cleaning. There was dog fur, dust and cobwebs everywhere. The floors were filthy, none of the walls, railings, or wood trim had been wiped down. There was debris in the cupboards and cabinets, trash under the utility sink, and pet odor. *** contacted ******* and sent her the photos and video. *** requested she return and do the deep cleaning that was promised. ******* returned on 09/12/23 and told another realtor (****) who was at the house that she wouldn’t be back again. **** gave her a cleaning checklist. ******* was at the house for 1.25 hours and there was no visible difference. *** made arrangements with another cleaner to have the work done again. ******* *******, ******** ******** ********, confirmed that the house had not been deep cleaned. The work was completed to the agent’s satisfaction on 9/19 and 9/20. I’m requesting a full refund as the agreed upon work was not completed and had to be redone by another company.
