My a/c unit went out on ******** and have yet to be fixed by the apartment complex. I had to ask for a a/c unit during the hottest months of the year and it is not able to cool the whole apartment. My son has been sweating at night sleeping in his room due to being special needs and his room being the safest. I have been patient and tried to work with the situation but when i asked for my rent to be decreased for not being provided air that is included in the apartment I received no response from the person i was told makes that decision. The option to decrease rent was shut down as soon as I suggested it. I have been over here for years and i have not had a complaint however the temperature outside is too hot and rent is too high to not be comfortable in my own home. I would like my rent reduced until the a/c is fixed. I would also like an explanation on why it hasn't been and for it to be fixed immediately. Just because i am being understanding about the situation does not mean i will accept not being heard when it comes to reasonable concerns.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/07/18) */ I am pleased to report that Ms. ********'s HVAC failure has been corrected, on *********. Certainly not the type of turn around time we strive to provide when completing a service request. It was very difficult to find an AC contractor that would meet their scheduled appointment time, assess the situation and make the repair...we experienced several no-shows and attempted to use several HVAC sub contractors. We would like to offer our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience she experienced. Upon her initial complaint, we provided Ms. ******** with a portable air conditioning unit to help cool her apartment home. It remained in the apartment until after the repair was made. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a rent credit to Ms.********. I'm certain she will be disappointed by this but it is not possible. We very much appreciate her kind and professional interaction with the Lenox POinte staff. Most other residents would have been extremely rude. I believe she thinks that because she wasn't rude and disrespectful to our staff, her request was ignored. That is definitely not the case. We appreciate and value her as a resident. To date and per my maintenance technician and property manager, Ms. ********'s HVAC is operating properly and to her satisfaction. Thank you.
