I went to Warner Robins family dental and was told that they took my insurance. They quoted me a price explaining to me what portion of the bill I was responsible for and I paid that amount at that time ($309).After 2 weeks I received notification that my insurance did not cover any of the bill due to a holding period. The receptionist told me " we don't have time to call your insurance company to verify when we quote you" I'm requesting that the remaining balance of $325 be waived due to the fact they did not do their job properly. If I were told I needed to wait a month to have the work done, I would have. This was not an emergency procedure and could have waited.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/01) */ As a courtesy we will help you process all your insurance claims.Please understand that we provide you with an estimate, however it is not a guarantee that your insurance will pay as estimated.We do go over all that information and have all patients sign a fininaical policy agreeing and understanding the policy we have in place.We also reiterate that informataion on the treatment plan we present you prior to completing treatment. We are able to set up payments so you are able to fit the remaining amount into your budget, as we undestand this amount was not estimated orginially. I was told what my cost would be. The person that I talked to when I called back up there admitted that they don't bother calling or verifying insurance. You failed to do your job and gave me false information. When asked to do the right thing you back don't. Looking at your reviews online this is also a recurring issue that your staff can't seem to do their job. You didn't verify my insurance Then you just slam me with the full bill although I would have been happy to wait. Stand by your work and your service. Consumer Response /* (3000, 22, 2022/03/31) */ I contacted this business in December about a non emergency ************* The person on the phone found and verified my insurance. They said it was taken there. At the time of my visit ( over a month later) they brought me a paper and told me that my portion of the bill was $380 and the insurance company was paying $325. 2 weeks after service I start getting calls and bills. They said that they "don't have time to call insurance companies" They lied to me about contacting them and lied about my bill. I get that not all places take all insurances but they said that they did and that they verified it. This was a flat out lie and I could have went to a different dentist. The entire time in this office they never mentioned that there may be an issue or that I should contact my insurance directly. I later talked to the manager and they said they were sorry about the mix up ( admitting fault) and offered to reduce the bill. However they have continued to send letters for the full amount. The amount that they claimed the insurance company that they never contacted would be waived.
